Splendid large breakfast of exceptional quality. Very friendly and efficient people. Comfortable and quiet room with plenty of space, spacious large shower. Everything spotless. Right in the middle of Knighton so convenient for the station.

Neil was a fantastic host who went out of his way to ensure that we were okay and had what we needed. He was flexible and accommodating after our plans changed at short notice. Great breakfast and breakfast room. The location of red lion right in centre of town was perfect for us after a long days walking (as was pizza establishment right next door! ). Very comfortable bed, clean room etc

Neil and Cathy are warm and welcoming host and offered interesting insights into the history of the area. I enjoyed the peace and comfort of my room and a delicious breakfast the next day. They couldn't have been more supportive, even allowing me to have a key on the morning of departure, so I could leave my bag, go for a walk and pick it up later. I heartily recommend their cosy hotel and would definitely book again, especially if walking the Offa's Dyke path! Lovely independent shops in Knighton to browse and buy gifts in too :)

What can I say? You get there quite late…. Neill got you covered! You get there late and are hungry and need a place to eat? Not only does Neill take care of booking a table (no question asked!) but he also knows you want the more quiet place because you had a 13 hour trip there. You are hung over and need a cold bottle of coke in the morning? Neill got you covered - together with the hand cooked breakfast and a very, very friendly team, the hangover is still bad, but not dominant anymore. You want to go for a walk? You have very German questions about where to park your car? You don‘t know how to switch on your coffee machine? You…? I think you got the message. lovely place. lovely rooms. 10 / 10 would book again & recommend.
