Didcot Railway Centre is a must-visit when in the town. A great way to experience Didcot's railway heritage in historic buildings and artefacts from the Great Western Railway. Visit during a Steam Day to experience a ride behind a preserved steam locomotive in vintage carriages!

Good location, right price but needs more attention to details. No outside light, shower floor slippy, no chopping board or bread knife. No operating manual for microwave. Batteries dead in clock and dying in tv remote and smoke alarm.

The room I was allocated was acceptable .
The room I was allocated was acceptable . The finish of the decoration was poor , the carpet was stained and looked dirty .
The hotel shared areas of the hotel were good and well decorated and clean .
The room I had could do with updating .
Location easy to find, quiet, and excellent parking by property. Host came out to greet us. Detailed folder of information. Good location for Didcot Parkway where we were catching the Flying Scotsman. Also easy to walk up to the centre. Scampi and chips at the Railway Hotel was good.
Very clean, warm and well equipped accommodation just right for 2-night stay. Comfortable sofa and good sized TV.
The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is clean and has everything you need. Complimentary toiletries and tea and coffee . The location is good. Close to main A34 yet quite rural. Restaurant menu is good value and quality. Perfect base to explore the Oxfordshire countryside on foot, bike, car or public transport. Pool is clean and well maintained.
As you drive in and see the grounds and then the white Georgian building, we thought how lovely it looked, inside the reception area again lovely. As we were waiting to check in we were looking up the wooden staircase to floors above and thinking how lovely it looked and wondering where our room would be. Then it all changed......
Hotel Facilities with exposed beams to main rooms excellent. Twin Room was well appointed. Beds were good. Tea & Coffee facilities were good, as was the free internet. TV cover was limited but adequate. Mobile Phone cover was good. Breakfast was excellent freshly cooked and substantial good value for money. Adequate Paking
Super comfy beds, property was extremely clean and spacious and had everything you could possibly need - tea, coffee, sugar, kitchen equipment, a fan, towels and bedding, every little thing had been thought of! Was lovely having a fridge and microwave. Plenty of parking space. Loved the outside seating area.
- private parking next to the cabin (very calm and quiet area)
- small 'balcony' in front of the cabin (pleasant scenery)
- bedroom with TV, table, chairs + kitchenette: cooker, fridge, microwave, kettle, sink
- private bathroom
- comfortable bed
- towels provided
Location very convenient for central Didcot, but the Lodge itself is fairly quiet considering the location. Beds comfy, everything we needed was supplied (we only stayed one night though and didn't need to use the kitchenette at all).
Location! Didcot is a good starting point for excursions in the midsomer murders area. The B&B location is also good in Didcot. Quiet residential area but still walking distance to centre with pubs, shops and supermarkets
The 3 bedrooms. Ideal for a family with teenagers who need more space than a hotel room and privacy.
Lovely big shower. On site parking. WiFi. Clean and location for the airfield where we were heading too was perfect.
The Hotel was very clean. Hand sanitisers easily accessable. Bedroom was also very clean, comfortable bed. Food although reduced menu because of restrictions was excellent.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
This is an outstanding property that is extremely clean and conveniently located near the train station. This was everything we hope for and more. Lots of restaurants nearby as well as grocery stores.
I liked that it was a decent price, Didcot is ridiculously expensive for what it is. This is perfect for a solo traveller who is down for business purposes and wants to be able to cook their own food.
Superb location, very responsive and friendly host.
Recommended to everyone that need a quiet night close to the station and Didcot centre.
Easy parking and smooth check-in.
