From the moment you arrive at The Shippen you are greeted with the warmest welcome from Sara and Phil and the extra welcome from the family of animals that make the stay extra special. The property exceeded our expectations on all levels and the little things that make a huge difference like a set of scales which helped us to ensure we were able to carb count correctly for our Type 1 Diabetic daughter. We were staying for 5 nights as our twins were competing at the Archery Youth Festival.and due to being calm and well rested we travelled home with a silver and 2 bronze medals. We would definitely stay and recommend the property and also they have two smaller cottages which are also exceptional.

Recently refurbished, The Shippen can comfortably accommodate up to 4 people making it the perfect holiday accommodation for a small family or friends. Sympathetically converted to a high standard, the interior of The Shippen is a luxurious combination of original features with a contemporary influence. The high-spec fully fitted kitchen with freezer, Nespresso coffee machine, dishwasher and microwave leads seamlessly into a spacious dining area and comfy lounge with a feature wood burning stove for those cosy evenings in. We’ve provide a wide range of cooking utensils, pots and pans, crockery, glasses and cutlery so you can whip up a feast or a lazy brunch. Curl up by the warmth of the woodburner in the cosy armchairs, and finally take the time to finish that book, or enjoy a game of cards. We will provide you with a basket of wood a day as well as firelighters and matches. Comprising of 2 bedrooms split across two levels, both rooms are furnished to a high standard with elegant ensuite facilities. The upstairs Master bedroom is a spacious super king sized room with stylish shower room offering panoramic views across the Shropshire countryside. Whilst downstairs, bedroom 2 offers the flexibility of twin beds which can be zip linked to form a super king sized bed and has its own luxuriant bathroom. Please let us know how you would like the bed to be made up. A separate downstairs cloakroom is ideally placed for our guests and provides additional convenient storage. To the front of The Shippen is a paved seating area perfectly appointed for morning coffee or perhaps an evening glass of wine. On balmy days, make use of the outdoor dining furniture to enjoy an al fresco meal. There is also a charcoal barbecue (please supply your own charcoal). The Shippen has its own private hot tub for use all year round.Surrounded by quiet Shropshire countryside, Moreton Hall Farm is set in beautiful countryside where you can relax and unwind.
I had been running a farmhouse b&b since 2005 until the pandemic struck when I was forced to close. Since then I have opened up 3 self catering cottages. I enjoy country walks and gardening when I have time.
We are lucky enough to enjoy living in a rural location, but close enough to the towns of Newport, Telford, Shrewsbury and Stafford. Wildlife is plentiful with good walking and cycling routes available.
