Unless you have a specific agenda, there is not actually a lot to do in Pencader itself. When we were there, the pub had been closed so you had to drive or walk a long distance to sample a pub experience. Surrounding areas are beautiful and you are approximately 25 minutes away from beaches(New Quay for dolphin watching), if that is your thing. The School House garden was a good place to sit in the late evening.

Location was perfect just a short drive to the local village. Clean and quiet. Locals were friendly and welcoming - plenty of different places to visit locally or within an hour drive from visiting the butterfly house, an informative visit of the slate mines, boat tour to see the dolphins in New Quay and the seals in Cardigan Bay

Llandysul is a central place to journeying to New Quay, Aberaeron & Carmarthen, all within easy reach.
It has a river running through it where water sport activities take place.
There are a few places to eat or get take away from and the usual shops plus petrol station to hand.

The Daffodil Inn 2.5 miles away from Gernos Farm, was very accommodating and served good food and wine, although the deserts were disappointing compared to the staters and mains. Good for dogs. Lovely outdoor space. We walked the round trip of 5 miles which was a moderate and undulating walk.
The Beach Hut at Llangrannog beach was great for coffee and cake after a windy coastal walk. Parking could be an issue in peak season.
King's Arms kept you up to date with emails and texts on everything. Host was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Room was amazing! Clean , comfortable beds and very spacious. Lovely extras in room with towels, range of tea coffee and biscuits and shampoo etc in bathroom. Easy access to place with touch key fob for outside if door was shut and key to room. Easy walking distance into Llandysul itself with range of takeaway places close by.
Amanda and Ken are amazing hosts, lovely little farm shop stocking groceries including delicious meats. Beautiful views from caravan, fresh eggs. In short a beautiful retreat from the world. Lots for children to explore and enjoy farm life. Recommend exploring Llandysul, New Quay, Aberporth and National Botanic Garden of Wales, apart from last one, all near by. What struck us about the accommodation was all the little touches are there.
We loved staying at the Old School, the place was super clean and very comfortable, we can't wait to be back when all the facilities are finished. The fact that the hotel is eco-friendly made my stay better and made me think that we can all do better and help our planet. Jayne was great and very kind. Would definitely recommend!
The room size was amazing, super comfortable. The rain on the skylight was beautiful for us.
Really clean.
Kettle, shampoos etc supplied.
Owner even had biscuits and crisps for us.
100% recommend. Wish I found this years ago, sadly my last visit to Llandysul. But if the need ever occurs I will be back.
I had pretty high expectations based on other reviews but I was still somehow blown away by the hotel, our host Debbie, the service - everything! Just a fantastic experience, wish we could have stayed longer but it just means we'll need to plan another trip!
The room was very good for what it was, a pub hotel in a small country town. The room was warm and spacious. The beds were comfy, and there was a nice big bathroom. The staff are friendly and flexible. We really appreciated the late checkout. Thanks!
Super cozy, clean and comfortable B&B, if you want a good place to stay in Llandysul, you must choose Y Teifi rooms!🤩
Also, local crisps were delicious!
Thank you!🤩
