Would thoroughy recommend the liquor room for cocktails and miller and carter for evening meal. Don’t stay at Mercure Telford City hotel though ….. have done so twice now with bad experience both times.

We came to attend an angling championship. The weather was exceptionally wet. Roads were closed and Ironbridge was flooded. We attended the competition and went home as soon as we could. We did revisit the Grazing Cow restaurant for our second evening meal. The food was good and a good atmosphere.

Birthplace of the industrial revolution, there are plenty of historical ruins and artifacts to see. Ironbridge is amazing considering when it was built. Multi museum pass is best value if you are staying for a couple of days. There are plenty of small villages to explore but be prepared for the narrow farm tracks if venturing off the main A roads.
Taxi’s are available in and around Telford but if you are travelling to a rural location such as Neenton (the Pheasant) you will need to contact a taxi firm such as 1st Choice Taxi’s in advance to make a firm booking. Uber services don’t Appear to be available once you are a few miles from Telford itself and mobile data is not always available.

We didn't really use Telford apart from the shopping center for essentials (plenty of options to choose from).
Ironbridge is lovely and the micropub is well worth a visit (The Coracle). Hoo Zoo was amazing as usual and Frankly Alpacas is well worth checking out as a new venture.
The Staff were really friendly and helpful from the moment you arrive to checking out. The Room was lovely with a lovely big bed and very clean throughout. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was excellent. The Bar was open later and they have pool tables which is a winner. Great location to Telford International Centre (15 mins walk), plus shopping centre is about 5 mins away. We drove to Ironbridge on our way home which took about 15mins from the hotel.
On arrival and through my couple of nights staying whilst working in the area, I found the staff to be really friendly and professional. The room was warm, clean and comfortable with a good shower. The bar and restaurant were both fine for my limited use of them with a good buffet breakfast with a good choice of items. Plenty of parking and close to the retail centre of Telford.
Plenty of drawer and plug space and iron, kettle etc in room
The hotel is showing its age but our room was large, clean and comfortable. The town of Shifnal was within easy walking distance but the hotel area was very quiet. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. Some of the reviews I read were a bit negative but I would suggest that if you want something with a bit of character I would book here; if you want something soulless stick to Premier Inn
Breakfast was very good, atmosphere good as were the staff who were very welcoming. The hotel is a little 'tired' but loved the old setting, & the location. The room was a good size. The bed was the worst part of the stay as it was very soft & uncomfortable, the shower was a lottery as to whether you got hot or cold water, however, the power of the shower was good. I would stay there again.
Very well-situated for Ironbridge museums.
Staff in all parts of the hotel were incredibly helpful.
Level of customer service is very high.
Hotel facilities are very comfortable with space to relax outside the room and great views from the bar terrace.
Spa changing areas clean and well-presented.
Breakfast and meals in bar were excellent.
The bed was very comfy the room was spacious and very clean. The bath was a little small for my 6 foot plus husband but a lovely indulgent for me. The shower was hot and fast flowing so another plus.
I just wish we could of stayed longer. The breakfast was very nice too. All in all a fantastic comfy value for money stay in a very nice hotel.
Large room with sofa and armchair. Really comfortable. Bed comfortable also. Very clean. Tea, coffee biscuits supplied and replenished. Food was good at breakfast and in the evening. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. In a great location for Shrewsbury, Ironbridge and Telford cinema. We really enjoyed our stay.
The White Horse exceeded my expectations. We had initially planned to stay in a central Travelodge, but went for a smaller venue further out from Telford. Didn’t regret it at all. The staff were lovely, the room comfortable, quiet surroundings and a lovely cooked breakfast included. Excellent value for money.
The location is very good but look for the school. The house is one of four next to a bungalow. A Co-op is nearby. Lovely cafe very close for breakfast. The house was very warm and comfy. Lots to do in Ironbridge and Telford. The town park in Telford has lots for families to do.
I love the amenities and bar service. All of the staff are knowledgeable of not just one area, they can work in two different departments in one shift which I find is really amazing! Kudos to the team. 5 stars for all.
Location was perfect lots to see and do near to RAF Cosford the Ironbridge museums Coalport and lovely little pubs along the river severn.Near to Telford and Shrewsbury only a few miles away. The cottage was charming.
Modern hotel and facilities... great location, great parking facility and restaurant on site, used as central to my business meetings in and around Telford area, very safe, very comfortable and great value for money
This spacious apartment was just what we needed. Easy parking outside and easy trip into the International Centre. Quiet and comfortable. The host was very quick to respond to the questions I had.
Had a comfortable one night stay. Only 5 mins drive to Telford town centre with plenty of bars, restaurants, great shopping centre. Staff (Steph and Tina) really friendly and helpful.
Friendly hotel a little tired but there is refurbishment work in progress Staff very friendly but seemed to be constantly under pressure and you have to ask for things multiple times
