“Our room was exceptionally clean with all facilities available including a hairdryer, iron and ironing board. We had a room on the first floor and had lovely views over Coate Water which made for a very quiet, restful break. The shower was brilliant and so much better than ours at home, with loads of hot water and lovely clean, fluffy towels. Bed was very comfortable although the pillows weren’t the best, but were adequate. Had a meal in the restaurant one evening with friends and we all enjoyed what we had ordered with good sized portions, well presented and well cooked at a very reasonable price. Fine dining it isn’t but if you enjoy plain, wholesome food and decent surroundings you won’t be disappointed. Bar staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive. All in all a very cost effective little hotel, with none of the bells and whistles of some of the big chain hotels but we enjoyed our stay were well impressed with it.”

The hotel is sited at the periphery of the town with very easy to access to major road routes and plenty of parking. It has the added bonus of being immediately adjacent to Coate Water Country Park which is a great place to walk and unwind.”

“I arrived at almost Kitchen closing time, the staff were very prompt in gettiy me in so I could have some dinner, the rooms are large, clean tidy, off street parking is available ( outdoor carpark only), breakfast was substantial staff only to eager to please, ”

“Staff were lovely, very accommodating, especially considering that I arrived grumpy and tired from a roadworks and traffic-delayed journey, complicated by a satnav that left me short of my destination by .25 mile. They took me and my discontent in stride, going out of their way to help by doing some printing for me, as I had arrived too late to get it done at the local office supply store. Everyone was helpful, friendly, and keen to see that I was happy, too. Food was excellent, breakfast cooked to order. My room was clean, very comfortable, excellent quality linens and toiletries, and the rain shower was an unexpected bonus. Definitely recommend the Sun Inn!”
