The breakfast was superb and you were give a choice of what you wanted and it was always served hot. The host were very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is a short walk away from the town and a little down the road was the Freemans cookhouse and pub which do great steaks!

Both Julie and Paula went above and beyond in their hospitality to ensure everything about our stay was perfect and to our liking. The food tasted delicious and was of the right quantity ie. how many eggs and rashers of bacon, sausage you'd like with a good choice and option to change each day the night before. Location was good...close to seafront which is well within walking distance. Parking is also catered for nearby using a permit system which Julie sorted out for us by phone. Exceptionally quiet location despite being on a main road. Lovely shower with gorgeous toiletries, big soft fluffy towels, nice sized mugs for your room tea and coffee. A spotlessly clean room ( we had no.1 with 2 good sized singles) and again spotlessly clean linen on a very comfy bed with comfortable soft pillows.

The Tennyson is located 200 yds from the North bay promenade. 700 yds from the new leisure centre (opens summer 2016). A short walk from the bus station and train station. 15 min(max) walk from the Spa. Handy base for touring the wolds and moores.

We have owned The Tennyson since September 2017. Although it has been a B&B since a t least the 1950s.

Located 3 mins from the North Beach and Promenade. 3 mins from the new leisure centre opening in summer 2016. 15 minute walk to the spa. Ideally situated for the towns restaurants and pubs. 5 mins cycle ride from the way of the roses start/termination.
