    We do not normally do packed lunches as we are a B&B. However we can do this. The cost would be dependant on what you wanted.

  • How do you arrange for parking your car

    We have parking permits for the long stay car parks which are a 1 minute drive and 2 minute walk away. Come to us on arrival and pick one up.

    We are a bed and breakfast only and do not supply evening meals. You will need to book elsewhere. I would suggest either Le Bistro Des Ami , The Yorkshire Rose or The Woolly Sheep

  • Hi, are you accepting general bookings from the 12th April or do you fall into the may category? Thanks

    In line with the rules, we cannot accept bookings for recreational overnight stays until May 17th. The only places that can are self catering properties. Please see the govt rules for the travel reasons when you can currently stay overnight in a B&B.

The Unicorn hotel has served Skipton visitors for over 100 years and is one of the leading accommodation providers within the local area. January 2015 saw the start of a necessary refurbishment including new bathrooms and full redecoration. Mould, old sprung mattresses, 14-inch televisions and 1970’s avocado bathrooms were replaced. After years of neglect the Unicorn resembled student accommodation. Rooms are simple and well equipped. Our small team of staff make people feel welcome and enjoy going the extra mile. Guests can relax in comfortable beds and breakfast is an impressive choice. Cooked fresh to order from the menu guests frequently comment on the quality of the food. We use local suppliers including Mr Feather for eggs and Andrew from Mearbeck farm for free-range sausages. Currently, 11 rooms enjoy excellent year round high occupancy rates. All of our guests are pointed in the direction of our local pubs, restaurants, and attractions and we are enthusiastic to promote Skipton’s varied offerings. Our aims are to keep improving and provide tourists and business travelers with a modern friendly and affordable place to stay in Skipton.

Highly motivated with a passion for the hospitality business. Customer service focused with a real desire to provide good value, comfortable, clean accommodation in Skipton. I am a chartered accountant and enjoy a good game of golf

Skipton is a bustling historic market town with lots to see and do. We are happy to point you in the direction of the best local pubs restaurants and attractions. Guests staying for with us will have the opportunity to explore the market castle and maybe take a canal boat trip. Great place for shopping and a good base for days out to nearby Harrogate and the Yorkshire Dales . Skipton holds festivals throughout the year attracting lots of visitors, our advice is when booking anywhere in Skipton for a Friday and Saturday night book early.
