“We received a room upgrade via booking.com (genius rate) which was a really nice room (bridgewater), with two windows on separate sides which meant in this hot weather there was always a lovely breeze, although there was a fan in the room if we needed it. Lovely modern bathroom with a wonderful shower (no bath) which could be either overhead rain shower style or using the standard shower head. The toiletries provided smelt wonderful and were lovely to use. The location was great and we stayed after a day at Alton Towers (30 min drive), as were heading off elsewhere after here. Dinner and breakfast were both great, the mushroom risotto was delicious. The lady on reception (Rachel) was ever so good, polite, helpful and appeared to do a bit of everything. The outside seating area was well kept and relaxing, with a table service due to the pandemic. We put everything on our room bill and paid in full when checking out.”
