“The village pub has fantastic food with great service! We ended up eating at the pub twice for dinner as well as each morning for breakfast. The room was incredibly comfortable also and finished to a high standard. I would suggest to those that are sensitive to traffic noise to ask for a room at the rear of the building, that was probably the only negative in that the room faced right onto the main road. The traffic does die down between 11pm-6am though.” Read more

“There was an odd issue with breakfast. You advertise that breakfast starts at 7:30 am; arriving at around that time we were told that there was no bread until until 8:00 am when it would come across from the 'big house over the road....considering we were only after a light continental breakfast, this was not what we expected. The bread (two slices) eventually came, then the hunt was on for either jam, honey or anything. Eventually the chef managed to produce some honey. Wierd.” Read more

“Absolutely LOVED my stay at The Village Pub. It has an abundance of character, with a quaint and quintessentially English feel to it. The room was exceedingly comfortable with gorgeous interiors. We ate in the pub for dinner which was utterly delicious and so cosy; our included breakfast was also here and this was a real highlight with a huge amount of choice and all locally sourced. All the staff are extremely friendly & welcoming - I could not recommend this place more and can't wait to come back!” Read more
