Whitekirk Hill is owned and operated by a local North Berwick family. There are a total of 9 lodges which all have access to the impressive main resort building which hosts the Leisure Club with swimming pool, bespoke children's Play Barn, luxury Spa and Orangery & Walled Terrace which serves delicious brunches and lunches. At Whitekirk Hill, we strongly believe in eco-friendly values in the way we run the business, not least our new range of low impact lodges. We believe that we must do everything possible to reduce the negative impact we have on the environment without compromising the experience that we offer to our members and guests alike. Tree planting coupled with sustainable grass and woodland management over 160 acres of our grounds are just a few of the steps we are taking to offer the best possible experience to our guests and local community. We make special efforts sourcing our goods and services locally to support the East Lothian and Scottish economy, whilst maintaining good relationships with suppliers. In addition, we continuously adhere to special procedures to minimise the environmental impact of our activities, including improving our management of heat, light, power and water, conserving energy where possible and raise our staff & guests' awareness of their environmental impact whilst staying or working with us. We have recently achieved Silver standard Green Tourism accreditation.
