A charming pub with lovely connections to 'Last of the Summer Wine'. The location is great, very close to Holmfirth. The staff were really friendly and made us feel very welcome. The food was lovely, with very generous portions. We would definitely stay there again.

  • Hi we are going to a concert at the picturedome in holmfirth how far is it to get there please x
    The Picturedrome is about 2 miles away there are regular buses from outside the pub as well as local taxis. I would not recommend walking as the area is very hilly

  • Is it central to walk to other places as my Mum can’t walk very far please?
    We are in a small village Two miles from Holmfirth. We are in the Holm valley which is very Hilly. Also all rooms are up at least one flight of stairs which are steep.

  • Can you advise if there are plenty taxis for journey to The huntsman inn on A Friday for a wedding .Thanks ..
    There is a local taxi firm that are very good we would recommend pre booking couple hours in advance especially when coming back late
