The traditional pub look downstairs mixed with a hint of quirky in the rooms, the wonderful staff and excellent food! I intend to come back with my husband in the near future. And lest I forget, it is perfectly located in the center of town with free parking for those staying overnight!

Easy to find, free parking at the back. Asked for a big quiet room and that's what we got - Boresisle room (they all have names, not numbers), worth paying a bit extra for! Bathroom luxurious, bed huge and very comfortable, room was spotless. Loved the Nespresso machine. All staff friendly and helpful. This is an old and quirky building, so if you want corporate bland, it won't suit. But we loved it - room was dark and cosy. Breakfast was excellent quality. We ate dinner in the pub and it was good. Lots to see and do in the surrounding area, and we can recommend the Old Dairy microbrewery within walking distance.

Very friendly and helpful staff. A great location, very handy and a short taxi journey to the chapel down winery. The room was very comfortable and comes with proper coffee rather than those horrible instant coffee sachets. We also had a lovely dinner and a few drinks down in the pub.

Located in Tenterden historic High Street, The White Lion offers a traditional pub and restaurant, along with free WiFi throughout and free private parking. The town is on the edge of Weald, overlooking the valley of the Rother River.
