“Given that I needed a hotel that was near to a railway station so that I could travel into Birmingham to attend a function, its location could not have been better. There a regular train services to and from Birmingham from from Lye, which is very reassuring. The room was in a small and cosy location, so not having en-suite was not an issue. If you like to drink beer, then this is the place to be, as you are staying in a pub which also a brewery.”

“The room was small, but very clean, with a comfortable bed, nice bed linen, courtesy tray including a pod coffee maker, biscuits as well as the usual tea/coffee, bottled water etc. The bathroom was also small, but very clean, good towels, soap/shampoo provided, decent shower. There was a fan, and a heater, should we have needed it. Small TV on the wall, all in good working order. The window opened for ventilation, We had a very good dinner in the restaurant and the breakfast was superb - proper sausage, good bacon and the best scrambled eggs ever! Good quality bread for the toast too!”
