United KingdomVery friendly greeting the moment we arrived. While checking in, desk clerk asked if had plans that evening, offered recommendations. As soon as we asked about any Distillery tours, she made a call, found one with 2 options (one in 45 mins - advanced private, the other - general, a bit later). We wanted the first, but questioned if possible time frame. Said if we wanted she could take care of it all. She booked our tour, hailed a taxi, and had our bags taken to our room, all in 10 mins. We got to our tour with plenty of time! Talk about efficient service (arriving at 3 pm helps). Our room was well lit, clean, seemed newly remodeled in a contemporary style. Bathroom was clean. The hotel is a narrow, but comfortable high-rise style structure nestled between others, as many structures in the downtown Glasgow is. We had a window on the 3rd floor. As one who loves to see nature, I enjoyed the morning greeting of pigeons on rooftops.
