“Breakfast was good, very quick to be served and waiters were very helpful. The starters and cooked breakfasts were very good, not too big but enough for us. I was a little disappointed with the 'freshly baked pastries' as they were very small, dry and cold. I do not understand why you can't just serve a normal size pastry instead of 2 mini ones. Also our room did have 2 windows however no view, all we could see was manky concrete roof and walls. Also did notice plenty of cracks in the roof of our room plus a light fitting in the dining hall was halfway fallen out of the ceiling.”

“Hotel is lovely though a little dated. Room was fine, bed was comfy, bathroom was fine. We ate Breakfast and Evening Meal in the hotel and both were very good. The staff were extremely friendly and good at their jobs even though some were on their first or second nights at working there”

“Beautiful 18th century mansion style hotel with vintage feel, where kind management upgraded us to an amazing suite in honour of our wedding anniversary. Massive apartment with huge bathroom, very impressive 3-piece leather suite in the lounge, and lots of attention to detail (portable fan, ironing board, iron, complimentary water, nespresso machine, 2 flat screen TVs). Room service menu was a superb collection of gourmet dishes. Heated towel rails, study desk and noise proof rooms. We couldn’t wish for more! ”

“Right in the center of everything! We were able to walk everywhere. The bus and train station were a reasonable distance and easy to navigate luggage. Harrogate is a beautiful city, The Crown is a charming and comfortable hotel, and they have such wonderful staff! ”
