We liked the hotel, comfortable, warm, friendly staff, food good value. However one big exception which spoiled the whole experience - the LIFT. We don’t like lifts and this one was particularly claustrophobic, it was like squeezing into a wooden box for two people. Unfortunately we had been given a room on the 4th floor and not being able to face going in that lift we had to climb four flights of stairs each time we went to our room. If We had known this before we booked we would have requested a low level room! Incidentally the hotel was full.

Carol United Kingdom

We were given a seafront room which was clean and spacious with good en-suite. Some noise from coach parties' entertainment in bar until 10.00pm. Good breakfast buffet. Good value if you are prepared to share with coach parties. Parking on promenade outside hotel

Peter United Kingdom

The Hotel pulled out all the stops having been notified of my 60th Birthday celebration. Card banners and a bottle of fizz in the room . Really appreciated !

Bed sloped backwards, the divan was stained. The room door lock was irritatingly awkward, swipe keys would be so much better. Despite the extensive bar menu, the actual draught beer was limited, and the fridge was almost bare, certainly not much choice. Staff were nice but both visits to the bar (on a Friday night) we had to to go to reception to find staff to serve us. Breakfast was alright, but eggs were sat around for longer than we would like and bacon was overdone. Disappointed not to have grilled tomatoes, plum tomatoes were offered

The room and bathroom were a good size Staff were friendly and helpful Room, bathroom and bedding were clean Plenty of choice for breakfast, teas bought to the table quickly after ordering

The steps up to the hotel itself were steep, an older person would find it hard to manage with a suitcase aswell. No ramp. They were tile so a wet floor sign was always there to be used when it rained. The lift was tiny. The stairs were confusing and 2 members of staff we met were rude

The location was good about 10 mins walk from town centre.

Hotel is geared TOTALLY to group coach parties ….it is NOT an hotel for the individual traveller Very regimented ..i.e. breakfast at 7.45am dinner at 6pm Over 40 rooms over 4 floors and mostly older or elderly clients yet only one tiny lift ( and I mean tiny... 2 people max )

Friendly staff.... ( although virtually all were Polish and didn't fully understand our culture ) Food was basic but OK

“We were here four nights and the room, the hotel and the staff were absolutely excellent!”

The included breakfast was fantastic. The room was fully staffed and the people were very, very friendly and helpful. The location was the best possible and we were lucky to have this wonderful room for our visit to the Classic TT.
