The spa facilities weren't so good and I would have been disappointed if we had booked a 'Spa break'. Although I had a couple of treatments which were excellent. No robes for hotel guests, only those on a spa break wasn't very good either. Also reserved beds in the spa for those on a spa break meant that hotel guests had very few to go round. The food was OK in the Sports Bar, but the other restaurants were very expensive.

Situated on 300 acres of countryside on the edge of the Dedham Vale and just off route A134, this hotel is about a 20 minute drive from Colchester and Ipswich.

Stoke By Nayland Hotel offers a choice of excellent dining facilities, Peake Spa & Health center, and two 18-hole championship golf courses. There is also a driving range with 20 covered bays. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.

    There is currently no time restriction on use of the pool and poolside facilities. Facilities are available to use up until 11am on the day of departure.

  • Do all guests have use of the spa facilities included in room rate?

    Hotel residents (adults) receive complimentary use of the poolside facilities and gym from 11am on the day of arrival to 11am on the day of departure. Please contact the hotel for further information and details of children's swimming times.

    We always recommend that you pre-book a table to ensure you can book the time you would like and also that there is availability in the Restaurant. If the Restaurant is full, our Sports Bar offers casual dining, reservations are not required.

Please note the Stoke by Nayland Hotel, Golf & Spa is completely nonsmoking.

The spa opening hours are as follows:
Monday – Friday: 06:30 until 22:00
Saturday, Sunday and Bank holidays: 08:00 until 18:00

Please note there is a limited number of loungers in the Spa area. For GBP 35 per person per day guests can purchase a Spa Pass with unlimited access to the poolside facilities for the whole day, regardless of check in and check out times.

Spa Passes must be booked in advance to guarantee a sun lounger. Full payment is required at time of booking. Sun loungers are subject to availability.

Spa Passes are not required for hotel guests staying on weekdays (excluding Bank Holidays and peak times) when access to the poolside facilities is available during the stay.

Children's swimming times are as follows:
Saturdays and Sundays: 08:00 until 09:00
During school holidays: 08:00 until 09:00 daily

Please note that children's swimming time slots can be booked in advance.

Children will be required to arrive and leave in their swimwear since access to changing facilities will not be available.

No lifeguard will be present at the pool area.
