What a find! Stunning accomadation and fabulous grounds with access through the gardens to a pathway that leads directly to RoninHood's Bay. Warm welcome from our host Angelique, and a shout out for her delicious Aga cooked breakfast. Would highly recommend.

Great breakfast and comfy bed. Lovely hosts and short walk into Robin Hood Bay

Everything was just perfect. The hosts could not have been more friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The Hall is amazing and steeped in history some of which Angelique was more than happy to share with us. Pheobe was amazing.Breakfast was well organised and cooked freshly for us. No waiting very attentive service.

The location was perfect. A stones throw from the hustle and bustle of Robin hoods Bay. Easy access s on the bus back to Thorpe Hall after a walk to Whitby along the cliffs. The gardens were beautiful and the access to the cinder track at the bottom of the garden through the sheep field was ideal for an early morning run. The accommodation was lovely with everything you needed. Breakfast was of a brilliant quality with brilliant service. And last of all but not least. The hosts were fabulous with information re the local area and warm friendly personalities whereby I saw them go the extra mile with customers several times. Brilliant stay at a brilliant location. Well done Thorpe Hall!

Thorpe Hall is a beautiful property! Our bedroom was so comfortable, with a massive bed and very good shower. We were so impressed with the way that all the historical details were kept yet it felt so clean and modern at the same time. Angelique and her daughter Phoebe were so attentive and served the most delicious breakfast. We took every tip that Angelique gave us and visited some beautiful places on the Yorkshire Coast. Thank you for all your recommendations. It felt like nothing was too much trouble.

Excellent location, delicious breakfast, super lovely friendly staff. Made such a fuss of our daughter which was lovely, she had her own dining set which was a really nice touch. Couldn't have asked for more really! We had a picnic in the beautiful garden one evening too which was lovely.

Angelique was very warm and welcoming and made us feel at home right away. We loved the old house, full of intrigue and character and we especially loved the garden space. The highlight for my little girl was playing with Olly, the cat!

Thorpe Hall is a wonderful place to stay. Full of character and the owners are amazing. Breakfast was incredible and was served to us in the incredible garden.

On arrival was greeted in a very friendly manner by Angelique. Thorpe Hall was all we expected, such a beautiful quirky building with large gardens. You can take a short walk through the gardens to Robin Hoods Bay. Facilities were good with a lovely large bath, shower and toilet for our exclusive use. A change from en suite, with just a short trip across the corridor. You were able to choose from a selection on the menu card for a cooked breakfast. Cereals and continental breakfast was also available.

Excellent location, facilities and breakfast. Excellent value for money. Great hosts.

Good Evening Looking to stay at Thorpe Hall between the 6th and 7th of August . Was wondering how to get into Whitby rather than using our carSo very sorry for not seeing your message earlier! You can either take the local Arriva bus (no 93 or 94) or take a taxi. A taxi is about £12-15. Of course, a walk into Whitby is lovely, but perhaps too far if going in just for dinner.Answered on 2 July 2021

Is there a shuttle available to get to the closest beach nearby? What are the other transportation options? There is is no shuttle to the beach. Robin Hood's Bay's beach is easily walkable within 15 minutes. If you prefer Whitby beach and do not have a car, one could use the local bus service.Answered on 11 January 2020
