“Engaging with the hosts about the history of the family and the estate, Chatting with them about Thrumster and the place where my wife's grandmother lived 100 years ago. Sitting by the fire. The elegant dining room and china/silver service. Having an entire pot of coffee for multiple cups of coffee. Loved the dogs. We felt as much like family as guests. Catherine and her charming mother were a treat to be with and were excellent cooks.”

“A charming, historic family home full of antique furniture, photos and paintings. A cosy, crackling log fire welcomed us along with the owner who met us at the door and showed us to our rooms. Delicious homemade evening meal and breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble and the owner joined us for pre dinner drinks and nibbles and chatted to us about the archeological dig in the grounds and the history of her home including when the Queen Mother visited. A real gem of a B and B.”

“Loved the quirkiness and reminder of times past of this place. Even though it is in need of repainting etc we loved it here .Sitting and chatting in front of the open fire in the evening was lovely. Electric blankets in the beds were a bonus especially as it was chilly. Breakfast was delicious and excellent. Owners were very friendly.”
