The tiny home is in Dunham on Trent. Ideal for Lincoln, Newark and Lincoln show grounds and the river Trent. St Oswald’s Sung is perfectly designed for a short getaway and is situated in the beautiful grounds of St Oswald’s Grade 1 listed Church. The gardens are part of the original churchyard. The snug has a private, peaceful and dog secure garden overlooking over our Church and medieval tower. There are a number of archaic and interesting graves within the whole garden area. The tower has returning Peregrine falcons nesting in the spring and summer months. The Snug provides everything you need to relax and unwind or use as a base for exploring the area. We are a couple of minutes walk from the River Trent, ideal for fishing, dog walking and bird watching. We are 11 miles from the beautiful city of Lincoln. Sherwood Forest, Retford and Newark are within easy reach. Our tiny home offers a relaxing and cosy environment. It has a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave oven, an induction hob, air fryer, a kettle and toaster. There is complementary tea, coffee, sugar and fresh milk plus treats for the dogs. There is a separate double bedroom with quality linen and a comfortable bed . We have a small but lovely shower room with a toilet, shower, plenty of hot water, complementary shampoo, conditioner and body wash & electric toothbrush charger. There is a Smart TV and WiFi. The snug has central heating for the colder days/nights. We have a key lock for entry providing you flexibility. Outside in the large, secure garden you will find a seating area and a fire pit/ BBQ (coal not provided). We do accept 1 dog (or 2 smaller dogs). Dogs are not to be left unattended. The garden is secure but we do ask that if you bring your dog to keep the gates closed. If you do bring your dog we provide covers for the sofa and bed (in case they accidentally jump up on it!) We have an EV charger with a tethered cable (plug type) (midnight-6am payable on site).
We are in the process of renovating our Grade 1 listed church. We have spent a great deal of time creating a welcoming and secure garden space. We have repurposed pews and chorister chairs to form the kitchen worktop and ends plus the numerous shelves in all of the spaces. We hope you enjoy staying in the Snug and enjoy the peaceful garden setting.
Dunham on Trent is a quiet village. It has a dog friendly pub and an Indian restaurant. It’s a couple of minutes walk to the river Trent where you can fish, walk or bird watch. Peregrine falcons nest in the medieval church tower each year during spring and summer. The nearby villages of Tuxford and Saxilby have numerous shops, pubs and takeaways. It’s easy access to Lincoln, Newark, Sherwood Forest, the county show ground and much more,
