We had a huge triple room with a sofa and desk area. Everything worked well and the room was very clean.

Very clean and good value for money. No frills but did exactly what we wanted it to. They were very accommodating and allowed an early check in. Staff very helpful when we had a taxi/luggage issue (even when it was at 12:30am!). Our friends stayed in the garden suite which they felt was a little cold. Overall I’d recommend for a short stay or stopover. Breakfast was lovely

The breakfast was good with a wide choice, and staff were friendly and courteous. Dog friendly including eating in the restaurant area.

The staff, from cleaners upwards were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Gina, in particular seems to be the heart and soul of the place and looked after us very well.The bed was very comfortable and clean. The breakfasts were very good and we had something different each morning of our six night stay. We also ate a few times in the evening and the meals we had were excellent.

Well-placed for access to the stunning Northumberland countryside and coastline, The Turks Head offers accommodations options ranging from double rooms to private cottages. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout.

The Turks Head is a renovated 16th century coaching house that still features original features. All rooms are en suite with a shower, and enjoy impressive views over Coquetdale and Simonside. In addition, all rooms have a flat-screen TV and separate seating area.

A buffet breakfast is served every morning, including cereals, fruits and pastries as well as hot options. The Turks Head has its own adjoining pub and restaurant, where the chef has designed a menu based on local produce. Additional shops, pubs and restaurants in the village of Rothbury can be reached in less than 5 minutes on foot.

The National Trust site of Craigside House and Gardens is a 10-minute drive away. The hiking trails of Coquetdale are 3 miles away from the property, and the Northumbria coastline can be reached in 30 minutes by car.

    Free parking on the entire high street. Alternatively both nearby Rothbury car parks are also free with a Northumberland disc (£1) for disc

  • Do you have secure overnight storage for an e-bike available?

    We have a fixed bike rack in the enclosed back garden. Depending on date of stay and departure time we may also be able to lock bike inside an outbuilding.

  • Hi could we bring two well behaved dogs ?

    Hello, We only have 1 pet friendly room, so all depends if that is free, it is the Patio room, a triple room (double and sofa bed) We can not accept bookings with pets for any other rooms. Thank you for your enquiry.

  • I will have 2 granchdren with me have u a room with garden access will also need I double bed and bed or sofa for each child Could u suggest the best room for me

    The garden room is ideal has a separate bedroom & a lounge with 2 sofabeds so can be used as a second bedroom & opens up into our enclosed garden.

  • Do you have a room with a king size bed. I saw there is one but I don’t have a dog and don’t want to stay in a room where there has been dogs.

    The only pet friendly room is the patio room, all others we don’t allow dogs for allergies:) Try booking room 3 or 6, they’re the most spacious & have never seen a pet in over 10 years :)

    The room you asked about sleeps 4, the patio room sleeps 3. It’s probably easier if you call us, we can check dates etc but please be sure to mention dog :)

  • do you have a large double room with access for mobility scooter, for my husband who is disabled with walk in shower

    There is free parking on the high street, a mobility scooter can get in to the pub and through to the back patio area (help will be needed by parter or staff to open the double doors. There are 3 steps into the room. We have nothing completely flat
