I could not have been happier with my stay. A friend and I booked in for a night as we had a wedding near by and the hosts were extremely accommodating in letting us arrive a little early to drop off bags and gave us such a warm welcome that we felt so at ease. It is a brilliantly designed lodge with a small kitchen area (including lovely locally sourced breakfast bits) and lovely bathroom, perfect for staying in this beautiful area if you're wanting to explore nearby or stop off. I highly recommend staying here, you will have a very comfortable and happy time.

Bedrooms were clean and tidy. We were the only 2 guests at the hotel that night so had our pick of rooms. Food was nice but we arrived at the tail end of sunday lunch service so choice was limited and there was no evening service. My colleague twisted her ankle prior to arriving and the staff were lovely, super helpful and made her an ice pack. Luca was a star, definitely employee of the month!!

Everyone at The George was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the shampoo and bath gel smelled very nice. The hotel is walking distance from almost everything in Wallingford.

The place was fun, great food, staff, and room. The bed was very sagging and we kept rolling to the center of the bed. Surprisingly it was not that uncomfortable. We would stay there again.
