“We arrived at the hotel early, the parking difficult to find but the staff pointed us in the right direction and we managed to check in a few hours early. We had booked the superior suite with balcony for my husband's birthday and the room was beautiful! I am very fussy about places being clean but it was spotless. Robin hoods bay is beautiful well worth around if your for enough to get back up the hill! (I was just about)! There is a park across the road which would be great if we had brought the kids. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The decor of the hotel is very Victorian lots of interesting things hanging on the walls and beautifully set out. The other thing I am super picky about is food but it did not disappoint either, everything was cooked fresh and tasted amazing. Very reasonably priced also! “This is a very elegant and well-run hotel. The breakfast was awesome. The view from the Victoria Hotel restaurant where breakfast and other meals are served is amazing since the hotel is right on the shore of the North Sea, with the charming town of Robin Hood Bay just down the hill. We had just finished our Coast to Coast Walk from the Irish Sea by St Bees to the North Sea by the Victoria Hotel in Robin Hood Bay. This beautiful old (but very well kept) hotel was the perfect place to celebrate the end of our 200-mile walk! “Food really lovely. Unfortunately the restaurant was overbooked for the amount of staff on the Evening. Non residents were allowed to book which is fine but the staff were overwhelmed. Meal arrived before drinks we'd ordered 40 minutes earlier. We'd asked 5 times for the drinks, different staff and in the end we were told they had ran out of large wine glasses to serve my wine in.
