The beautiful expanse of Queen’s Park is a 10 minute walk from you; its wonderful 30-acre stretch of greenery has a stunning ornamental garden as well as great facilities for kids with a playground and animal farm. It also has a jogging track with exercise machines, several first class tennis courts, a par 3 pitch and putt golf course and a petanque piste. Take the family for a morning walk after breakfast or perhaps stop for a coffee in the park’s café. Wander down this neighbourhood’s Salusbury road and Chamberlayne - which was named the “hippiest street in Europe” by Vogue magazine! There are wonderful antique shops such as Howie & Belle, Niche and Circus along it, as well as a great little cocktail bar called The Shop NW10 which serves drinks in jars and bottles! Several more restaurants and bars are dotted along Salisbury Road and the surrounding streets near Queen’s Park Station. One particularly recommended is Otsuni, an authentic Pugliese restaurant favoured by locals for its hearty meats and stews and divine, shaved white truffle salad- be sure to book in advance to avoid disappointment! Don’t miss the farmer’s market on Sunday for all of the fresh fruit and veg, based at Salusbury Primary School.
