Wadham Cottage is an 18th century, Cotswold cottage based in Bourton-on-the-Water, Gloucestershire. It is a delightful and cosy cottage retaining many of its original features. Inside has a living room with a coal effect electric fireplace, and a fitted kitchen with a dining area. The property has an external outhouse with laundry and drying facilities. Upstairs has one double bedroom and one twin bedroom located on separate floors. There is a family bathroom and WC on the first floor. There is a shared patio area with a table and chairs, plus a separate grassed area beyond which backs onto the local church. Off road parking is available for one car. Note: One well-behaved dog welcome at an additional charge of 25.00. Note: Parking space narrow depending on size of vehicle. Please take car when parking. Note: Limited Mobile coverage, although signal available outside. There is a landline in the cottage for local calls (honesty box) Note: Please note that there is an outhouse to the rear of the cottage which contains the washing machine and tumble charged at 25Note: There is limited head-height in the bathroomNote: Please note a 4pm check in time is possible on Saturdays. The usual check in time on other days is 6pm, however guests are welcome to check if earlier arrivals may be possible although this cannot be guaranteed.

Neighbourhood information

Located in the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the historic village of Bourton-on-the-Water dates back to Neolithic times with over 100 buildings being Grade II listed or higher. The picturesque high street nestles alongside the River Windrush over which several low stone bridges span, which is why Bourton-on-the-Water is known as the Venice in the Cotswolds. Tradition states that an annual football match is played in the summer, in the River Windrush with the banks lined with spectators, with the aim to score as many goals as possible and get as wet as possible! The village has an eclectic range of visitor attractions, including The Model Village, Cotswold Motor Museum, Birdland Park and Gardens as well as a Dragonfly Maze, monthly farmers’ market as well as many tea rooms, an artisan bakery, antiques and craft markets, traditional sweet shop, cycle hire and its very own perfumery.
