Very comfortable bed and lovely and quiet. Generous breakfast items set out beautifully in a basket and everything you needed in the fridge such as milk, butter, juice and yoghurts. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and was made to feel very welcome.

Very friendly host Steve, who explained everything in detail when we arrived. Great use of the hot tub, which is very private. The cottage is in a remote village with a pub (which we didn't make it to!) just a five-10min walk away. Great place to just get away from it all and enjoy a little R&R. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful in every respect with the “WOW!” factor throughout the apartment. The ornate 4 poster bed is even more glorious than it looks on the website. The high ceiling & bare beams create an amazing ambience together with the tasteful decor and antique furniture. The warm welcome and helpful advice was exceptional. All the special touches made this an excellent choice for a birthday treat. Not going to mention them in detail so that you’re in for lovingly indulgent surprises when from the moment you enter this character home from home.

This was our third stay at one of the Walnuts Country house cottages in 3 years. As always the cottage provided the perfect place to have a calm relaxing time and Steve's hospitality was great! The hot tub is always very clean and ready to use on arrival and the fire was lit, creating a warm cosy atmosphere. We will probably be back!

The Walnuts is a 300-year old Grade II listed, former gentleman's residence and latterly the village shop. We are located in the heart of the small village of West Row just 2 miles from Mildenhall.

Guests are just a five minute walk from the village shop and fish and chip shop, a ten minute walk from the local pub situated by the River Lark, offering a beer garden, bar and a restaurant, and only a phone call away for a delivery from the excellent choice of take-away restaurants in the area.
