We were met at the door by Clive who immediately made us a welcome cup of tea and showed us around. The room was very clean and tastefully decorated. Linda was a lovely friendly lady and a both she and Clive were excellent hosts. Clive made sure we got a taxi in the morning as we had no car and helped us with our luggage. Breakfast was huge and very well presented and cooked by Linda. We could make ourselves tea at any time.

The lodge is located at the northern end of Hayling Island in Hampshire, on the South Coast of England. Waratah Lodge is a good base for business or vacation. Nearby you can windsurf, kite surf, jet ski, dive, golf, fish, sail or hike.

Offering a warm welcome, the residence prides itself on its cleanliness and efficient service. In 2006 the lodge was re-opened after a 2-year complete renovation. In July 2009 the driveway entrance was widened for easier access.

  • what are the breakfast times?

    Breakfast times are 8AM - 10 AM On arrival we will ask you to choose from the menu and arrange a time with you. We will do our best to accommodate your time but due to covid we have to keep times seperated

    Some rooms have ensuite with baths and some have en siite with showers please read descriptions before booking Off road parking yrs

  • We have two motorcycles- is there a safe area or garage which we could store them in overnight? 2- Do you have any cats on the premises?

    Yes we have safe parking for motorcycles. We have NO cats and guests are not allowed to bring pets. Look forward to seeing you Regards Clive.

  • I have a small dog who is a registered Pets As Therapy dog

  • Is the bathroom disable friendly. Is it a walk in shower and raised toilet?

    All bedrooms and ensuites are on first floor we do not have lifts and bathrooms are normal, sorry NOT adapted for disabled persons.

  • what does partially refundable mean please on booking.com If we did have to cancel what amount would we be liable for thank you

    We do not refund cancellations unless we personaly had covid or we are told to close by the authorities. Guests cancelling with covid would need to provide us with a covid letter from their doctor to get a full refund. We do not refund otherwise.
