Ive been hosting since my children were tiny. I love hosting meeting people from all over and making friends for years and going to visit people when they’ve all grown up and got married and had children. WE are most lucky!! We are situated right at the start of the Riverwalk at Lower Sydenham entrance is on my road and it’s a beautiful urban riverside walk through green spaces all the way to Catford bridge then then on to Lewisham all by bike or scooter or just a refreshing hike. There are 3 train stations all close, lots of buses, lots of shops, rural as well as urban, McDonald’s, Costas, and a massive Sports Direct, and a Sainsburys’, Sydenham where Jamie Oliver was filmed during his partnership with them. There is the famous Hornimans museum nearby and Crystal Palace Park, Bechkenham Golf course and we have a swimming pool around the corner too. Lower Sydenham station is 15 minutes to London Bridge and the Shard! Henry Cooper famous boxer went to school nearby, lived on the Bellingham Estate. On Farmstead Road. Bell Green is where Michael Caine famously shouted ‘YOURE ONLY SUPPOSED TO BLOW THE BLODDY DOORS OFF’ in. the Italian Job - Bell Green is where the explosion of that iconic white van was filmed…….. Served by Lower Sydenham. Sydenham. Bellingham, Catford and Catford Bridge stations. Also Beckenham Junction heading towards Bromley, Orpington.
