United KingdomOnly 10 mins walk from the centre of Retford, great location. The room was clean and a good size and the bed was comfortable. The TV was a good size & the remote worked well. The curtains were dark enough that we slept well and weren’t woken early despite it being June. Lots of free parking in a restricted access car park. The staff were very friendly and helpful; the receptionist got me a nightcap from the bar after the bar tender had finished and the next day another one ordered a taxi for me. The full English breakfast was adequate but not amazing, I would order it again. There were lots of tables not cleared when we sat down which spoiled the feel of the experience, my only complaint. There aren’t many ‘sparkles’ with this hotel but it’s clean and friendly and in a great location. We’ll definitely stay here again.
