“Just wow! Lived up to its reviews! Such a beautiful stay. The hosts were super lovely and attentive. Breakfast was super cute and tasty! Couldn’t fault anything. Lovely stay, we used the pool, went for local walks to the pub, be prepared for an uphill walk back if you walk! But it was great. Beautiful grounds, lovely food, and nothing is too much trouble for the hosts! ”

“Beautiful, quiet, location at the end of a road in an isolated dell. A garden view at tables with great views to mature trees and hilltops. Lots of space in bedroom and bathroom; airy; comfortable; quiet enough to think you could be the only people there. Friendly hosts with local information. Great breakfasts (fresh fruit - top marks). Exceptionally clean. We looked forward to returning each evening of our week stay.”

“We loved our stay in this beautiful country home. We enjoyed the use of the heated pool, and it is in a beautiful location. The owners were very helpful as we have a coeliac in our group and a vegan, but they catered for us all wonderful , and were very understanding as my daughter was not well while we were there, and she stayed in her room a great deal. We would definitely like to return here again”

“There was a lot to like about this charming stay. Its secluded and private with just six rooms, we got to know the other guests and yet get our own space. Mostly it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. This would be perfect for couples or groups who want to get out of hustle and bustle. Our hosts Diane an John were lovely and the breakfast was a definite highlights. There are just two options, done very well. We didn't make the most of the location, we chose to drive out for hikes and towns. But there are some lovely options, walks, heated pool, two drawing rooms, large gardens and board games. The light pollution across Exmoor is extremely low so this is a perfect spot for stargazing, we were out of luck with the clouds. Typical.”

“Warm and welcoming. Nothing too much trouble. Lovely extra touches such as a pot of proper coffee and cake on arrival, very welcoming after 3.5 hours driving! The location of Advent Wood Farm is stunning! So peaceful. Wonderful views in all directions. Lovely gardens to sit and relax and a really warm outdoor swimming pool. Breakfast was stunning. Beautifully cooked on demand, and served in the lovely dinning room. Again some nice touches, butter carved from a bigger block, not those small pieces in foil. And small jugs of real milk in a fridge in the hall, to take into the room for an early morning cuppa :-)”
