The location down a half-mile long unadopted road was, for me, a country mouse, quite lovely, as was the garden surrounding the barn. The spotless accommodation was very good indeed. One of the best establishments I have ever visited.

Wortwell Hall Barn is an idyllic 18th Century Grade 11 Listed building, set in the Waveney Valley in the heart of the Norfolk countryside, just two miles from the Market Town of Harleston, on the boarders of Norfolk and Suffolk and centrally located for most of Norfolk’s attractions, including the famous Norfolk Broads. We are located half a mile from the village of Wortwell within a small hamlet accessed by a private road, this makes the location an ideal place to relax and enjoy a break in the picturesque surroundings of the farmhouse and watermill. The barn itself dates back to the early 1700s and still retains all the features of the original barn, including a thatch roof and traditional Norfolk barn architecture creating a chocolate box image, the barn was converted just five years ago, to an impeccable standard within The barn is set in approximately one acre of its own grounds and overlooks rolling countryside, with good fishing nearby we have a secluded garden for our guests to relax and enjoy the views. Your Hosts Clive trained as a chef back in 1975 having gained a City and Guilds in catering and the Environmental Health advanced food Hygiene certificate, he went on to complete an apprenticeship with BP Oil in their London Headquarters, and has spent his entire career in the hospitality industry, including a small catering business catering for weddings and corporate functions. Your hosts Clive and Jenny will make you welcome in their home and extend a family style welcome to all their guests and cater for your every need, we are confident that you will enjoy your stay at Wortwell Hall Barn
Wortwell is a small hamlet located in the Waveney Valley, comprising a Public House and a garage. The Georgian town of Harleston with its choice of shops, banks, services, restaurants, health centre and dentist, is approximately 3 miles away.
