Frape British Indian Ocean Territory

As covid was still around we were being very careful to travel and when we try to book a place to stay for our little vacation we hardly got anything but luckily we found this little gem. Size of the room was reasonable and the cleanliness was brilliant. Fabulous job guys. Very impressed. Everything was in place, i.e social distancing, cleanliness, all covid related stuffs. Another impressive thing was the view…me and my friends were just in awe and was soo mesmerised by the sunset which we could enjoy through our bedroom window and the beautiful view of the sea…definitely coming again and enjoy the whole experience again. Downside was that we only planned to stay for a night…so we are kind of planning to come again soon :)

Location is absolutely, fabulous place to get away from it all- awesome views of a stupendous beach, you can't beat it! Great value. And there is a good cafe bar serving lovely food. You can rent towels for £2 each and book a cooked breakfast for the morning.

Located in the picturesque Cornwall village of Treyarnon, this YHA hostel is just 150 feet from the sandy beach. This beautiful country house-style building offers affordable accommodations and a restaurant.

The YHA Treyarnon Bay offers guests use of shared self-catering kitchen facilities. The open-plan dining room and bar has sea views and serves traditional English meals and local ales and ciders.

The rooms at the YHA contain a mix of both double beds and bunk beds. The guest lounge has comfortable sofas, a log fire and Wi-Fi access is available in public areas of the property. The café offers light snacks throughout the day and the garden terrace overlooks Treyarnon Bay.

There are plenty of coastal walking paths nearby and the Trevose Golf Club is a 10-minute walk away. Guests can take surfing lessons at Harlyn Surf School, which is a 5-minute drive from YHA Treyarnon Bay.

    We have live music (sunset sessions) most weekends between May and September. In previous years we have also held our BLUE MOON festival.

  • Could my family of four have our own room ?

    Yes we have private family rooms available. Our 5 bedded rooms consist of a double with single bunk above and separate bunk beds. We do have 1, 4 bedded room. This room contains bunk beds only.

  • Is it possible for a group of 16- 17 year olds to sleep in a tent for a couple nights without an accompanying adult but with parents permission?

    Hi, It is possible for people over the age of 16 to stay at the hostel unaccompanied by an adult. Identification would need to be provided upon check-in. If no I.D is possible a responsible adult would need to be present at check-in with I.D .

    Dogs are welcome in our alternative accommodation ( bell tents and landpods) but we only allow guide dogs within the hostel rooms.

  • Do I need a lock for the lockers?

    If in dormitory accommodation it may be advised, as we are not responsible for any lost or damage of personal property. Padlocks can be bought at reception, if required.

  • Is it quiet at night?

    There are signs displayed to try and make people aware of other guests at night times. There are no curfews set in place. Between May - September, we do have live music at weekends and occasionally mid-week. This is usually goes on between the hours of 7pm-9pm. There is also a licensed bar open until 11pm
