The room was spacious. The staff were very pleasant. The breakfasts were excellent and large.

United KingdomThe room was very spacious, there were 4 guests (2 adults and 2 kids) and it easily accommodated us. The facilities were good, we were at the pool both days we were there. The food in the bar was very nice, and a good standard for the kids which is sometimes not the case.

My partner has to have a gluten free diet, and we were met as soon as we arrived for breakfast by a member of staff who asked if he'd like his gluten free breakfast cooked to order. Nothing was too much trouble and all the staff were amazing. The gardens were very beautiful and the bed so comfortable.
United KingdomLike that Some parts of the hotel over looked the racing course. The property was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. It is also a lovely walk from the hotel into York itself. We had a lovely stay.

The staff service : A big shout out to the extremely helpful reception staff, especially Sheila who not only gave us an aircon room (we arrived on 25Jul2019 on the record hot day), but also single-handedly carried a portable fridge to our room in the basement level when the fridge was missing in our room. She also brought in a standing electric fan to our room when we realised the aircon was not working properly in this heat. 2. The facilities: The gym was very well-equipped and with a full blasting aircon (just what I needed in the heat). The swimming pool wit jacuzzi and steam room was a big hit with my kids and husband. The Cast Iron Restaurant service and food was great too. Lastly, the outdoor garden patio was very well kept and beautiful. 3. The room: Love the big sized and clean family room with 2 double beds.
