such a unique place to visit in a highly remote area of the country thats basically only open for 3 months of the year due to bad weather and a single dirt track that gets badly damaged due to the mountainous terrain where landslides are common. I would also guess a birdwatchers paradise with birds of prey gliding overhead at almost every spot!

Omalo road is one of the most beautiful and dangerous road in the world. This is the place you must see at least once in your lifetime. To get there you can take a mini van from Telavi. In hotel Tsasne I ate most delicious food in there and also rooms were very comfortable. A little bit down, there is a visitors center and a museum. We stayed there for 4 nights and it was a happy choice. Owner Levan is a great man. He picked us up at 5 am at the airport and took care of our breakfast, which was not easy on Sunday morning. It was closed everywhere, so his mother took care of it. The location of Mirgvela is the finest of all accommodations in Omalo. It is a beautiful place with fascinating views. It is also a great starting point for exploring the area. It was no problem for Levan to arrange transportation anywhere and recommend trips. The staff are very friendly and take care of great food and everything around. We were completely satisfied with the approach and fairness. Everything we arranged was true. We highly recommend.
