The Cottage, located in a wonderful natural area close to Prassonisi, has direct access (3 minutes on foot) to a solitary beach where sea turtles nest. Peace. Passage of deer and other wildlife, our friendly animals free in the garden. You can collect aloe & wild herbs; watch sunset on the sea and starry skies. No strong lights, no crowd nor luxury features. A simple place where beauty is also in imperfection, ideal for special, healthy holidays.
I am an Italian journalist. I joined the activities run in South Rhodes to protect the local wildlife and stop the construction of a power plant, on a beach where sea turtles nest. My family’s house is in Glikorizo (Licorice), facing Apolakkia bay. I manage some of the premises - see FB page “Ecovilla and Cottage on the sea turtle beach”. I am happy to share Glikorizo’s wonderful panorama and deserted beach with people who love nature. The host is often abroad, however reachable through e-mail or telephone. When in Glikorizo, he is happy to meet you and share experiences, if you wish. The housekeepers live in Glikorizo. They will check you in at the agreed time. If you have special requests, please let us know.
A scarcely populated natural area, wonderful landscape and panorama. 5 min drive to Apolakkia village (minimarket, restaurants, wifi, canoeing on the dam); 10 to Monolithos/Sianna (honey, suma and souvenirs); 20 to Gennadi/Prassonisi (health post, supermarkets, wind & kite surf facilities); 30 to Lindos.
