We had bungalow on second floor and it was good
9yr old son loved loved loved the kids area pool- excellent for kids and he also loved the mocktails and icecream
We couldnt enjoy the beach for swimming as it was always windy while we were there but we still stayed to watch the waves whilst having a drink or eating icecrean
Drink were usual all inclusive taste, take your own tea and coffee
Food is repetitive but ok

A perfect little getaway with a great pool and bar area. The room was very comfortable and spotless. It was a short walk into Maleme and there was a bus stop right outside. We really enjoyed having cocktails in the bar in the evening x

Large apatment with a lot of facilities, as washing machine, electric cooker, etc. Also a large saloon with 2 sofas besides the 2 rooms with beds.
From the balcony you can see the sea (7-8 min of walking). Some pittoresque village farms nearby.

Great aqua park for kids, nice and friendly staff, free parking
A few good little restaurants by the beach. Maleme Taverna / beach bar has great food and the sun loungers are free if you eat there. Same with Mythos bar, also good food at the Wave. Friendly helpful staff in all restaurants. I would stay away from the bigger hotels for food if you want good local quality food.

Maleme is a lovely village on the coast.
Maleme is a lovely village on the coast. It has plenty of hotels, bars and restaurants. The food was excellent. It was just a bus ride to Chania, the nearest big place. It is easy to book visits to other places. It is not too commercialised.

Maleme is small town, but there is everything you might need. I cant rate night life because of small children, but for family vacation is great. In town are many restaurants, car rentals, pharmacy, medical center...You can make a lot of trips from there by car or bus or by little fun train. It is good point for trips to Chania, Botanical garden, Balos, Falasarna beach etc.

Restaurants on the beach are more expensive, on the main street is a Gyros Taverna, food is great, we ate there every 2nd day. Also on the main street you will find another great Taverna next to the Synka supermarket, along the road is the jewel of Malame, The Black Lantern Restaurant absolutely the best eatery in the area with a bar that would not be out of place in the UK. Run by a former Royal Navy Stoker who is a mine of information on the area.
Just want a coffee, look for the green sign, it's a locals place, overlooked by tourists, mores the pity, started evey day off there with 2 or 3 cappuccino,s.

Maleme is a quiet resort and is used more by adults than families. However, there is a large family resort hotel there too. There is not much in the way of night life (no clubs), Platanias, about 2 KM away has all the hustle and bustle and night life. Maleme is much more laid back, although it has plenty of bars and eating venues to choose from. Chania town is easily reached by bus. Ditto Kolimbari further along the coast. There is the little train service offering trips to various parts of Crete which are great fun to do.

Wonderful villas for our family of 16.
Wonderful villas for our family of 16. Space for all of us, pool was wonderful. BBQ and recreational facilities , table tennis and bikes.
Could not wish for better facilities for a family holiday all together but space for everyone.
Hosts were so helpful and friendly without being intrusive.
Restaurants and beach within walking distance and local bus to Chania was perfect.
On our 4-week trip to Crete this hotel was the best, we stayed there two nights on mid October before our home flight. Location is good, by the old Kissamos-Hania -road but that was not disturbing. There is inner yard with small (but deep) swimming pool and really beautiful flowers and decorated walls. Just at the back of the hotel there is different world, just street with plants and trees. The owner couple is extremely friendly and warm. In all, our experience was the best that persons looking for peaceful stay on Crete can get!
We stayed here with 2 kids. The pool is always clean and a good size. The apartment is spotless clean. The manager Sophia is very helpful and friendly. My daughter slipped and had a little cut. Sophia was ready to help and gave us band aids and checked on my daughter. She even recommended a clinic just in case we needed to see a doctor. Her English is perfect. We felt very welcome at this hotel. We would stay here again in te future.
-location is great if you have a rented car and want to visit the western part of Crete; a few good tavernas around and a mini market across the street;
-rooms look exactly like the photos and there are ACs in every one of them;
-Konstantina gave us a very warm welcome;
-an average beach 50m away, great for chilling for half a day or in the evenings but not great compared to other beaches in Crete.
-free private parking.
Great place, everything was brand new, top location - next to the beach, we had beautiful sea view and could hear the waves all the time, it was so relaxing. The village itself is very quiet and peaceful, yet 5 min. by car to Platanias where you could find lots of restaurants, shops, etc. Also very convenient to stay there and explore the beaches in West Crete.
The staff was very, very friendly and helpful to all our requests. We arrived earlier than the check-in time and could directly check in and also have lunch straight away. The service was also exceptional and the food was a variety of fresh traditional and international cuisine.
We had an amazing time at the hotel, hope to come back soon. :)
Absolutely everything. This is an exceptional property, truly 5 star with everything you need for a perfect holiday. A great base for exploring the main attractions in Crete - Samaria Gorge, Elafonisi Beach, Preveli Beach and nearby Chania from this beautiful home in the quiet seaside village of Maleme.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really good, not too extensive. The location was peaceful and we especially liked that there were't so many tourists. There were a few nice restaurants on the beach near the hotel. We liked that the hotel was small and we felt warmly welcomed.
The staff was friendly, the room was clean and good sized, the pool was inviting. I really love that the hotel is eco-friendly. We were only there for the night, and we came in late, but it would have been lovely to spend more time there. The beach was calm (if rocky)--perfect for children.
Calm and quiet location, close to the beach with free hotel-owned sunbeds. Lot's of tavernas near by. Well commuted - the bus stop is less than 5 min. walking distance.
The food wasn't fancy, but actually quite tasty.
In general great it was great, relaxing stay. Perfect value for money.
Spacious apartament in the old house. Charming, with a view (a little bit) giving onto the sea. Kitchen well equipped with all the neccesities. The wasching machine came-in really handy. Located with a nice distance from hustle of those all-inclusive hotel of Maleme beach. A real retreat.
Basic but super clean and great facilities, friendly staff. Breakfast was good and lots of choices. Wifi was consistent. Location- Maleme is pebbly but nonetheless a lovely beach with gentle waves. Good location for travelling to NW Crete sites like Falassarna, Kissamos and Balos Beach.
The hosts were incredible, lovely people. We had raki and some sweet when we arrived, as a welcome gesture.
The apartment is cosy, with everything you need.
Maria and Costas gave us great hints about Maleme and Chania.
Great house, lot of space, clean, equiped kitchen. Mr Stefanos is there for everything. Location is ok, not far from Chania, there is a big market nearby. Good value for the money
Lovely hotel and staff. Delicious food. Animators were the highlight of the trip. The staff made my 30th birthday special. Thank you so much!
Close to the bus stop to Chania.
