Symi is a beautiful little island, with an abundance of shops and restaurants to browse and choose from. We stayed around the main harbour area and didn't feel the need to hire a car or take a bus anywhere. We were happy to relax on our balcony for the most part, read, drink coffee and people watch. We did venture to the walk to the small beach one day for a swim, which was lovely.

Friendly people and picture perfect. It was not overcrowded.
Friendly people and picture perfect. It was not overcrowded. The restaurants are plentiful and served delicious meals with fresh seafood. Ferries are available for trips to local beaches. Watching the harbour fill each afternoon with amazing boats and yachts was great entertainment whilst sitting at a bar.

Symi is a most beautiful and friendly island.
Symi is a most beautiful and friendly island. Most people only come for the day but it has more than enough to offer for a much longer stay. I have now been three times (for a week) and have still not managed to visit the monastery! Perhaps next time...

Symi is a delightful island, a place you have to choose to visit as it can only be accessed via ferry from Rhodes. It personifies a typical Greek Island, born out of travel experiences anchored in the minds of visitors who first visited this region back in the day. The food is very tasty cooking, fresh food, served with love. There are cars here (ignore those who say there are none) and taxis are available, both via water and land. Most beaches have a taverna - a must-visit is Nanou with the goats and the best food I ate! If you have some limitations on yhour mobility be sure to check the accessibility within your accommodation (self-catering or otherwise) for steps, and also distance from the main port/harbour. The walking is great but be mindful of when to visit - this was a very hot summer and the weather for my visit in October was just right but still hot. I loved Symi.

We traveled to three Greek islands and Symi was by far the most beautiful and relaxing. Very magical and unique place to visit. The beaches were perfect and the area by the port has wonderful options for food and shopping.
We stayed there for a week in october and had a wonderful stay. The apartment was fully equipped, the best we experienced in Greece. The beds were very comfortable and it was clean and fresh. We also got water, coffee and bread, as well as a bottle of wine which was very nice. The accommodation is very beautiful, close to the water in a quiet area.
Efti and her family were fantastic hosts, Efti picked us up at the port, gave us all the information we needed, was thoughtful and helpful with everything possible during the week.
This is a traditional Symi-style building, with a Scandanavian twist. Really attractive inside and out, and spotlessly clean. It is right in the middle of the part of the island where local people live, not a tourist zone, but the tourist facilities are close by.
Because this is a real village, there are sometimes church bells, cockerels crowing, sheep and goats bleating, in the distance. A bit of real Greece.
Full size built in barbeque on the terrace. Transport provided for me up from the port as part of check-in.
We spent two nights on our honeymoon in this hotel. The location was perfect for Symi, and we loved the view from our room balcony. The room was very nicely decorated, and it felt very authentic. The check in and check out process was also very smooth, and our host Maria gave us great tips on what to do and where to eat in Symi. Would definitely recommend! Try to get room nr 2 on the upper floor, it has the best view out of the 5 rooms in the house.
Very clean, beautiful location (it is a couple steps to get there but it is worth the view!), located in a wonderful part of Greece. The island of Symi is really worth a visit, and if you do so, this is a grey stay! Anastasia is a wonderful lady who was very keen that we enjoyed our stay and her colleague guided us to the apartment and gave us a lot of tips to good tavernas and mini markets! I will definitely come back here next time I visit Symi!
A+ stay - clean, modern, amazing view, kitchen, washing machine, perfect location. Can’t wait to visit again soon. Ideal location for those wanting to settle into Symi for a few days/weeks, and for those who like to walk - about 15 min down to the main port or to Pedi, though does involve hills so for anyone with mobility issues can take the bus (conveniently located right outside!) Pictures on website very accurate, it’s as great as it looks.
Anna was a wonderful host. This was my first time going to Greece as a 25 year old girl. (My uncle and I made a vacation plan to see Greece.) She not only hosted me overseas, but she went with me to a few touristic places. She took me to a museum and to the Monastery of the Archangel Michael. She gave me a wonderful tour of the city. Of course, I was very thankful and felt like I belonged and a part of her family. Highly recommend!
It is a spacious, super clean house with the most stunning view of Symi. Ms Sevasti is an excellent host and she will make you feel like visiting family. the house is above average equipped and you will find first supplies that most Hosts do not provide: breakfast, wine, cleaning products etc. highly recommended property. We will definitely visit again. Thank you!
From top to bottom everything was perfect!
Amazing view!
Fantastic hospitality!
Very clean!
A load of free snacks and drinks!
Perfect location! Right above A (taxi spot, bus stop, a, very nice bar - achninos-, very nice café for break fast.

Don't hesitate! This is the place your seeking..
A brand new apartments boutique hotel in the heart of the steep Symi village. The place is charming and cozy, very well equipped and has a nice view to the bay. The owner was very kind and responsive. If you want to feel the atmosphere of the village and not just the touristic area around the port it’s very much recommended.
My stay was very enjoyable and I would recommend the Albatros Hotel to anyone requiring accomodation on Symi. The owner Nicholas couldn't do enough to make my stay comfortable even coming to make me an early breakfast on departure morning and carrying my suitcase to the ferry on his scooter.EXCELLENT !!
Beautiful, clean, perfectly located hotel in Symi port town. A friendly warm welcome and glorious breakfasts as an optional extra. Our room was small but impeccable and very comfortable and we loved our balcony.
I was amazed by the cleanliness of the room and the good quality supplies provided for comfort.
everything has been arranged to ensure a comfortable stay.
Hotel is at the central and very close to port.
Arguably one of the best options currently in Symi (but the bar on the island is, on average, not high). Recently and nicely renovated overall (but it does not come cheap, and flaws are many).
Loved Symi & the hotel was fab, loved our room with sea view. Would definitely recommend a visit here.. we only had 2 nights but will definitely return at some stage for a longer stay.
A/c in the rooms (the place is not overly hot but, despite being a very small island, nightlife is incredibly noisy up to very late - you can't really sleep with windows open).
Absolutely everything!
Fabulous location with superb views.
Mrs Sevasti was delightful and gave us a little gift on our departure!
Old style Greece at its best.
