★The area: Just a few minutes downhill is the charming village and sandy beach of Ornos. The village and beach are on a narrow isthmus between two sandy beaches. On the north side, you'll find the strong winds of Korfos Beach, a popular place for kitesurfing. On the south side, is the sheltered cove of Ornos Beach with sun loungers and umbrellas providing a relaxing escape for visitors. If you'd like to explore nearby beaches, you can take a boat from Ornos to nearby beaches and the island of Delos, known for its archaeological ruins. Ornos has more than a dozen traditional Greek tavernas, bars, and restaurants to choose from for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. There is also a supermarket alongside a great bakery and a pharmacy.
