We had a marvelous time at Ploes. The owners were very warm and friendly, catering to all our needs, and always very discreet. The hotel's location is perfect, and we definitely recommend it as a tranquil getaway destination.

We loved it the moment we stepped inside the foyer. A beautiful neoclassic home mixed with antiques, crystal chandeliers and contemporary original art. Clearly we had entered a very special place. However, what made our stay most memorable was the owner, Lia, who made us feel welcome from the start. We were escorted to the dining room and served a traditional Greek liquor and sweets, as is the Greek custom for those visiting ones home. She was charming, engaging and quite a lovely hostess for our stay at Villa Ploes, as well as for our stay in Ermoupolis. From restaurant suggestions to beaches, she was extremely helpful as were the entire staff. We felt very taken care of by the staff who were all, without exception, kind and polite. We will definitely be back for another stay as soon as we can!

I loved everything about the property, from the room, the facilities, and the service - which was exceptional. Lia, Michalis, Alexandra, Giannis, and Georgos and all the staff made my stay feel more like home than anywhere else. The little dock downstairs was the perfect jumping point into the Aegean and I loved swimming just under the architectural gems of Syros. The sunrise from the terrace is unrivaled. Lia’s restaurant recommendations are to die for and I had great meals at all places she recommended. I will definitely stay with the Hotel Ploes family when I come back to Syros.

Most magical place! This hotel is the perfect mix of authentic and luxurious. We didn't want for anything during our stay: from an over-the-top breakfast spread each morning, to a personal sauna/steam room in our suite, but it also felt less touristy and manufactured than many luxury hotels. Already planning our return!
