This family run hotel and restaurant was wonderful and their friendliness and hospitality was unsurpassed...the husband and wife proprietors (who are originally from Agia Roumeli) maintain a comfortable, clean, and nice hotel with views of the sea, as well as a restaurant with fantastic fresh food that the wife prepares and cooks herself, while the husband meets and greets the diners with attentive care, both ensuring that their dining experience is as pleasant as possible...they took our dinner order in the morning and it was ready as soon as we sat down that evening...we enjoyed our time there so much that we ended up spending an additional evening that we hadn't planned for...we highly recommend this place!

  • HI there. It is unclear to me how to get to your place. We are hopefully coming to Crete in mid October and of course the Samaria gorge is on out list. WE would not want to carry our luggage while walking
    There are two ways to get to Agia Roumeli. one is with a ship with which you can take your things together. the other is to cross the gorge of samaria where you can ask to be transported your luggage and we will pick it up after arrangements.

    Hi. There are 2ways. You can go to omalos where is the start of samaria gorge . If you walk all the gorge you will be in agia roumeli.here is our hotel. If you do not want to walk all the gorge you have to go to sfakia to take the boat for agia roum.
