With the Acropolis as the jewel in the archaeological crown of Athens, this city is full of history while embracing the future. Take a stroll back in time through the neoclassical streets of the Plaka, where you'll find tavernas serving tantalizing souvlaki and mousaka, street vendors and live entertainment.
A trip to the Parthenon and the Agora top most lists and can also be appreciated from a distance by walking along the Dionysiou Aeropagitou street, which is away from the busy crowds of the city center.
The changing of the guard occurs every hour on the famous Syntagma Square. From here, Ermou Street provides shopaholics with a fashionable retail sanctuary. The upscale districts Kolonaki and Kifisia are also bursting with fancy boutiques, galleries and bars.
Athens has some of the finest museums in the world, such as the National Archaeological, Acropolis and Benaki Museums. From Athens International Airport to the Port of Piraeus, this is a city bustling with the old and new. On Booking.com you can find everything from modern hotels to a room in a classical building.

Athens was lively with lots of good restaurants, shops and historical sights. It's a shame there is graffiti everywhere you look, even in the "ritzy" areas. It was difficult to distinguish between ritzy and derelict areas of the city.

Athens in March is not overcrowded with tourists.
Athens in March is not overcrowded with tourists. Temperature is perfect for walking to all ancient sites and museums.
Most of the tourist restaurants have heaters outside because in the evenings it is a little too cold without coat and heater.

Definitely the place to be if you are into history and arts.
Definitely the place to be if you are into history and arts.
Also I noticed that recently it got elevated gastronomically.
Not a clean city and you could say that there is a huge pay gap between upper and lower classes. The fact that the city is not hospitable to the locals themselves, it makes it also not appealing to tourists. Everything got more expensive the last few years and you can sense that it drains the locals. Therefore if you are a person with a bit of sensitivity on social matters, it makes the whole experience awkward, to say the least. Last but not least, it doesn't feel like a safe place for women to walk alone during the night.

We're over 75, so a little more time would be good.
We're over 75, so a little more time would be good. After the Acropolis and Museum, we needed a day to recuperate, but younger travelers could do more activities. There are enough historic sites in Athens, and the surrounding area to keep you busy for weeks, if you want. It's amazing to see just the remnants of what Greece did over 3000 years ago.!

Athens is always Athens. So Many places to visit, so many things to do. Restaurants and shops for all tastes, great food and of course a fantastic night life.
The most important, Athens seems to be safer the last years.

The staff were so wonderful.
The staff were so wonderful. The rooms were clean and well equipped. Service was impeccable. Unfortunately what they don’t show in their advertisements is the street that the hotel is on .. it’s very rundown, however close to the main neighbourhood you want to be in.
Our balcony view faced out directly to an abandoned building which was extremely dissappointing. The breakfast was also not the best. extremely limited and not worth the €10. Go out for breakfast instead you will spend the same and have more options. Would I stay here again? Personally no. However it’s a great option for location if you’re not super picky about the things I mentioned above. Again, the staff were exceptional, the facilities were clean and very well taken care of, just not what we would have expected based on pictures and certainly didn’t love our balcony facing a slowly disintegrating abandoned building.
I don't even know where to start. We have been all around Greece in great hotels and accommodation but never, never is such a welcoming place as this one. Starting from freshly smelling towels to a level of cleanness i have not seen in a 5 star hotel. Kitchen is fully equipped, outstanding bathroom, and although apartment is not huge it still benefits of 2 air conditioning units which is just a joy. Balcony offers a million star view while drinking a coffe or a glass of wine. If you get close to that location look no further BOOK IT.
We had a great time during our stay in Greece. Despite initial concerns about check-in, the process was smooth and easy thanks to the hotel manager, Dimitris, who provided detailed instructions and was always available to answer our questions. The room was small but clean, comfortable and quiet. The kitchen was well equipped. The view of the Parthenon from the seventh floor was amazing. The apartment was in a great location, close to dining, shopping and attractions. We enjoyed walking around the city and seeing the sights.
We had the best stay ever! Room was super nice and super clean. Everything was in place even olive oil for cooking. My complements to the interior designer by the way!
Location is great!!! Just 50 metres from the metro and super close to Acropolis, the museum, syntagma, plaka, thhsio. . Neighbourhood is quiet and very safe. . Hosts are super friendly. . We stayed 3 kids and me. . Highly recommended to solo travelers, couples and families. . Thank you Sofia . . Thank you Greece!!!!
Nice apartment and in a very good position! We've been to Athens many times and we are happy with our choice. Great beds and very comfortable. Pillows are also comfy! The kitchen is fully equipped. Also despite the fact that in Greece the internet connection is not strong enough, this apartment provides a high-quality wifi connection. The check-in process is also soft and easy and the host allows us an early check-in. We will prefer it in the future for sure!
We spent our last two nights in Greece here and thoroughly enjoyed them. Absolutely amazing location of the hotel, excellent breakfast in the restaurant at the foot of the hotel. Amazing attitude of the staff, nothing was a problem. We needed a second key to the room and we were perfectly accommodated. The accommodation was clean and the equipment absolutely sufficient. We will definitely stay here next time we visit Athens. Highly recomnended!
10 out of 10 100%!! Never have we stayed in a place where we felt so at home home but still feel that clean and tidy hotel vibes. Breakfast was included so really nice value altogether! We thought Greece would be a one-time trip but we are now planning to come back again just so we can stay in this lovely place. The staff and the owner are extremely helpful!! Very cleaver name, Still Athens - it really is ❤️
Clean and comfortable hotel just a quick walk from the Monastiraki Square/Train station. Dimitrios from staffing contacted us quickly to make finding/checking in smooth. He also went above and beyond by offering us a walking tour of Athens to tell us some history of the city/Greece in general. He also helped us with recommendations for our next stops in Greece. Highly recommend! Thanks again Dimitrios!
we visited Greece for honeymoon their service was amazing for us to have best honeymoon stay!! ladies at reception are kind and helped us for visiting city.
breakfast is really great even tho we stayed only 2nights they add or changes menu. omelette that I ordered was also tasty ! location is perfect, not too busy area but lots of nice restaurants around ,accessible by taxi. I recommend this hotel.
I stayed here a second time when I travelled back from an island to Athens on my last night in Greece. It was easy to get here from the port (1 train to Omonia stn) and then to the airport (1 train via Monastiraki station). They upgraded my room for me which was lovely and acknowledged that I had visited before. The staff are very friendly.
It's a great price for my budget.
The hotel is Greek family-owned, and we were happy to support Greek people when visiting Greece. All staff were very friendly and eager to please. The hotel was perfectly situated in a quiet and safe area of the Plaka where we could rest without loud city sounds. While not fancy, the hotel was clean and very comfortable. We recommend and would stay there again
Top notch luxury hotel in the area, with very spacious lobby with multiple seating areas, bar and unique rooftop views to the Athens sightings. Great bed, super comfortable and stylish. Food at the great hotel's restaurant was great and abundant. Reasonable prices for autumn so I will highly recommended to my friends who want to visited Greece for vacations.
I stayed here at the beginning and end of my recent trip to Greece. This hotel is an excellent location to explore the sites. Staff are helpful and friendly. The property is well maintained. More than adequate buffet breakfast to start your day. The highlight is the rooftop bar with a view of the Acropolis. I highly recommend this hotel and would return.
Getting access and the keys was easy. It is a very big apartment by Greece standards with no tv in the lounge room. It is located a minutes walk from Monastitaki station and an easy walk to the sites of Athens with no tv in the lounge room. Right across the road is a luggage storage shop, Mr John is more than happy to help with no tv in the lounge room.
I LIKE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS HOTEL. SPECIALLY THE STAFF... THEY ARE SO VERY HELPFUL AND GO WAY BEYOND WHEN IT COMES TO PROVIDE SERVICES FOR THEIR RESPECTIVE GUESTS. WE ARE BEYOND GRATEFUL TO IRENE,LUNA,LUIS AND GREGORY FOR MAKING OUR STAY TO ATHENS EXTRA WONDERFUL AND MEMORABLE ONE❤️❤️❤️ I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK IN GREECE SOON.☺️☺️☺️
We were 4 people (2 sisters and a couple). We each had our own room and own bathroom. The kitchen was well-equipped, the apartment spacious and a fabulous terrace. It was a great start to our holiday in Greece. We each had our own space and privacy and we could also be together. Very good location in the center of Athens.
I booked this hotel very last minute for when I landed in Greece and then again the night before leaving since I was so pleased. Found the paid breakfast quite worthwhile. Also appreciated the excellent food at the restaurant as well as friendly service at the lobby bar. Recommended to all.
Our flight was delayed for the night in Athens and we had to alter plans. We were very lucky to find this hotel that was within walking distance of fun night out at the base of Acropolis! Delightful meal and great way to start our trip in Greece.
Spacious apartment in an amazing location. Air conditioner worked well. The host’s recommendation for Dimitrios for our airport taxi driver was excellent, he was very friendly and knowledgeable about Athens and Greece.
An excellent hotel located in the best area in Athens. The staff is excellent and the rooms (even if not to bed) very comfortable. You have to have dinner in the restauarant. Its the best meal we had in Greece.
Best breakfast, we had in 4hotels in Greece on this trip . Beautiful roof top bar . Reception staff really friendly , great restaurant recommendation from kostas
