It is very easy to fall in love with places of immense natural beauty, serenity and long traditions. The mountain of Pelion that thrones on a splendid green peninsula, with the emerald waters of Aegean archipelagos and grey-stone villages, is definitely one of such places. BLUE GREY COTTAGE that overlooks the forest, the Pagasitikos bay and the city of Volos, is the outcome of this love and the aim is to welcome and share all these with its guests. The BLUE GREY COTTAGE has its own entrance, so you may come and leave as you please.
Hi there, I am Theodore! Thank you for checking out my home. I was born in Greece and I lived for almost thirty years in Brussels, Belgium, where I studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and worked as a graphic designer. Although I spend most of my life in cities, my real joy is to be close to nature. I love hiking and take the time to observe everything that surrounds me. Photography, drawing, painting and writing are things I enjoy to do very much. The mountain Pelion with its immeasurable beauty, is an infinite source of inspiration and energy as well as a dear friend.
Stagiates is a peaceful village to the northwest of Portaria, living by the rhythm of seasons. In our little, but very charming central square, there is only one cafe, I Vrysi, where you can have a simple meal, or drink your coffee under the very old Plane trees. It is open from June to October. In summer it is open every day and during winter, weekends and bank holidays. In the square you should drink the fantastic fresh water, coming directly form the source. You may visit the monastery of Moni Theotokou, idyllically situated just 400m outside the village or take one of the five dreamy hiking trails.
