The house features high-speed internet, television, and air conditioning The traditional village of Pefki is perched like an eagle's nest. In olden times, eagle's nest referred to villages built in such a way as to remain unnoticed by pirates at close range. It is one of Crete's preserved villages with white stone houses and captivating nature. Paths amidst ancient olive trees, cypresses, carob trees, and flowers enchant and rejuvenate the spirit. Please note that you will need a vehicle, as there is no bus service between Makri Yialos and Pefki. What to explore. At a distance of 7 km lies the famous beach of Makry Gialos. The caves of Vreiko and Apoloustres are located at distances of 2.2 and 2.5 km respectively. Enchanting secluded beaches with crystal-clear waters are situated at distances of 10-15 km. In the village, there is the famous tavern "Piperia" and the traditional café "Klimataria". The village of Pefki is geographically situated in an ideal location for travelers who want to visit archaeological sites and beautiful beaches in the prefecture of Lasithi. For example, the Minoan palace of Zakros is located 55km away, the enchanting beaches of Xerokampos are 45km away, the Ha Gorge is 48km away, and Palekastro is 55km away.

Pevkoi, a small, traditional village in the south of the Lasithi region, the least touristic region of the island of Crete, is 6 km away from the most famous beach Makri Gialos with golden sand, shallow waters, plenty of reastaurants, cafes and bars. Other beaches nearby are: Diascari, with sand, fine pebbles, a small tavern at it's entry, a few beach umbrellas and small pavillons made by basic landscaping materials, Langada, a long, wide and quiet beach with trees providing shade, Staousa, in the Kalo Nero area, a beatiful small beach with pebbles and crystal clear watres, known for it's caves, the largest of which is providing shade, ideal for families with small children, Kalamokanias, next to Makri Gialos, a sandy beach with fine pebbles and shade, with a few taverns, Tis Grias to Pidima, a beach 12 km from Makri Gialos, near to the central road, with fine pebbles and big rocks providing shade, accessible by a small path, and Agia Fotia, a beach with crystal clear waters in a beatiful landscape.
