Porto Koukla is a tourist resort located next to Agios Sostis, in the bay of Laganas. It is a verdant traditional Greek village that has not yet been altered by tourism. Picturesque streets lead to the beautiful sandy beach through olive trees. A few sunbeds and quiet beach bars are nearby without disturbing much the tranquility of the landscape. From here small boats start and go to Marathonisi, also known as turtle island, the nesting place of the loggerhead turtle. You will also find some traditional taverns, restaurants and some tourist shops scattered around the area. There are cute hotels, villas, studios and apartments, many of which offer breathtaking sunset views that the resort is famous for. Just 9 km from the town of Zakynthos and very close to Laganas, Porto Koukla is a tourist resort that promises a relaxing and restful holiday with the option of more intense entertainment in the neighboring resorts.
