The main lodge was beautiful! Incredible views and so relaxing. Lots of space for all the guests. Mornjng yoga was nice (donation based class) with a great view. The river tubing back to the hostel was so fun (highly recommend) and we had delicious hot chocolate to warm up made by staff after that activity. Overall an amazing place to stay, such a unique experience out in the jungle. I was nervous about the bug situation based on other reviews as I’m very afraid of spiders… but I would recommend booking this place as it was such a great location & experience.

Pia and the rest of the staff and volunteers are amazing, they truly make this a place you feel at home in. The property is accessed by 4x4's so suggest you park at the lot in town, then take the free transport offered by the hotel. It's a good 45 minutes on very rough and steep roads. The property itself is on the river, and you really have the feel of being in the jungle far from everything else. The main area is comfortable, with beautiful views over the tree canopy, here you can also access the wifi. The food is all vegetarian and vegan and delicious - very generous portions as well! You can also have snacks made in the kitchen between meals, and drinks (beer, cocktails) can be purchased. We were in the coffee cabin, which was a double bed and loft. It was very comfortable, and has its own indoor (and outdoor) shower which was nice to cool off. You can also sit outside on the benched and listen to the river flowing by.
