Nice pension style accommodation right inside the confines of the Diocletian's Palace right beside the Iron (west) gate. Location excellent and very quiet. good air conditioning in the room and with blackout shutters. Room is located on a third floor of a mixed residential/apartment building, but there is no lift. The owner is very helpful and will provide you with suggestions on sites to visit and recommend restaurants etc. The location is difficult to find, but with google maps it should be ok. To get there once you pass through the Iron gate of the palace, immediately go right. You pass by a restaurant with outside tables and immediately turn right again into an alley that ends at the kitchen, The accommodation is located in the building to your left.

Very modern apartment up 3 flights of stairs in the historic old walls of the city. Good windows and ac help with pedestrian noise. Owner is very helpful and nice. We definitely recommend it for comfort, cleanliness and location.

It was a short stay but very nice. Malena was very kind, showed us on the map the most important places and attractions in split and treated us with a delicious melon and cherry drink. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy. the view from the terrace was breathtaking. Most importantly, the Malena Palace has a very good location -it is very close to various restaurants and bars, and the Diocletian’s Palace can be seen from the window. I heartily recommend it :)))

If you want a stay in the hart of Dioocletian`s Palace, you are at the right place. Malena Palace rooms are in the best position you can imagine. We are extremely proud that our accmodation facility is located in the southern part of the Palace, which was intended for the emperor and thus part of the imperial chambers. A special feature of the residence is the west wall of Diocletian`s Palace, which is one the best presented monuments of Roman arhitecture in the world and under the protection of UNESCO. Regardless of the central position of the building, the street in wich it is located is especially calm, qiet and safe. Building is surrounded with precious archeological treasures that are just in front of you. As well as numerous restaurants and different food expirience of mediteranean food and numerous cultural happenings. Close to the Split waterfront, ferry port, bus station, east coast, ACI marina, west coast, the famous city beach Bačvice. In the summer months all events are in our vicinity, concerts, theater perfomances, street musisians, dancers, klapa songs...
