Location is fairly good, close to the central part of Zagreb, and if you know what to expect (read the reviews) -- the hotel will meet your expectations. That said, it is fairly obvious that the hotel needs serious investments for renovation to stay relevant.

The only capital city in the world with a ski world cup race, Zagreb sits over 394 ft above sea level and has typical Central European architecture of cobblestone streets, impressive public buildings and well laid out landscaped grounds.
Built around two medieval settlements with the Upper Town (Gornji Grad) being its core, the city skilfully combines modern attractions with well-established favorites. Start your day at the Museum of Contemporary Art, then make a stop at the Zagreb Cathedral or make a wish at the Old Town Gate. The locals say it will be granted!
For a more relaxing time, Zagreb has two lakes - Jarun and Bundek - both offering recreational facilities and hosting festivals and events. After having fun in the sun, you might want to hit the shopping at the colorful markets and small boutiques selling local crystal, ceramics and cravats.
To get a different perspective on the city, climb Medvenica, a mountain over 3280 ft tall overlooking Zagreb, and admire the views while sipping famous Croatian wine. And while you’re there, don’t forget to visit the Medvedgrad fortress.

If you wanna be welcome ,don't come. I am saying this as a homegrown Zagrebian. I always feel unwelcomed, and I was born here :)
If you're passing through, by all means.
Foreigners generally like Zagreb, but if you're up for a good time, fun, music, company, just don't come. It's not worth the trip and it's not worth your money. Remember this capital is not treating it's own people well.
Go somewhere where the citizens are respected and foreigners are warmly welcome. Y'all have great stayings and safe journeys!

Zagreb is a great city ,transport very good easy to use and every kiosk sells trams tickets 56cents for 30 mins accross town and can be bought in various mins including a day ticket to travel from early morning to till night . there is a city bus that takes you to the airport for 1.12 euros you get a tram walk a few mins and pick up a bus so can be done cheaply, there is an 8 euro bus journey to/from the bus station and then a tram from there to centar and you know you have arrived as its like a big square with shops and resturants around it and on the right a of square the tourist office. A lot of the Churchs/Cathederal and palaces were not open to the public since the earthquake in 2020 still under repair as are a lot of buildings with minor damages. Lots of resturants to eat every where reasonably priced, the best shopping was in the area around the main train station there is an underground shopping mall and lots to choose from down there. .

The city is an easy city to travel around especially if you are central. Transport is good. The down side is the airport bagage claim, the airport lack of announcements for delayed flights and the fact that places of interest are closed on Easter and Easter Monday.

We only stayed in the old city and it was beautiful.
We only stayed in the old city and it was beautiful. So many green spaces, parks ,statues, sculptures and gorgeous architecture. Lots to see for free. It’s an easily walkable area but the transit is amazing and so affordable! There are so many museums to choose from. I really enjoyed the Museum of Broken Relationships, it was funny and sad and made me cry a few times, but was really unique. We also enjoyed being in the Stone Tower when the canon was fired. The gunner? or artillery man was a real treat . We were amazed by the Mirogoj cemetery and the Botanical gardens were lovely. Our favourite meal was at Stari Fijaker 900. Great food, service and historical ambiance.

Most people come to Croatia to tour the beautiful coastline.
Most people come to Croatia to tour the beautiful coastline. However, if you have time to visit Zagreb, you will find wholesome, genuine, loving people. They are happy, healthy, and intelligent. If you can find a way to get to know some locals and spend time living amongst the community in Zagreb.. and I’m sure other smaller towns around Croatia, you will not regret it!

Having been sent to Zagreb twice during the 1990s war I wanted to revisit a most beautiful city. No more! Litter strewn. Graffiti on just about all the buildings. Is not a city I'd recommend visiting. Very sad.
Danijela is a lovely woman. Very fast response. Very detailed. Helped us with transportation to from airport. Her apartment was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. We were ideally situated to walk everywhere. The apartment is exactly how it looks in pictures. We recommend this accommodation over a hotel. The Croatian wine was a nice touch, and delicious. She greeted us upon arrival with a smile, and a welcome tour of apartment we were not expecting. One of the best hosts we have ever experienced.
The best thing about Hotel Croatia is its location, since it is just a walk away from the centre of Zagreb. There is also a bus station nearby, which provides access to multiple places within Zagreb in just a few minutes.
The staff were very friendly, and the room was large and spacious when compared to other hotels.
I would definitely recommend this hotel for young couples like ourselves, who are looking for a good and clean hotel at a very reasonable price, while also being in a very good location.
Hotel is in a convenient location, very easy to get to by car and walk from there to the city center. Room was spacious, clean and with all the necessary amenities. Bathroom had a very nice, large shower. View over the wider city, I assume that rooms on the other side of the building have nicer view over Gornji Grad (Old Town). Staff very friendly and helpful, all compliments. Ordered room service for dinner, which was excellent, some great food delivered very quickly.
From arrival to checkout all the staff were very helpful, all greeted us with a smile and helped us along with our very small knowledge of the Croatian language.
The rooms were very comfortable, clean and of a good size.
The food and drink were of a good quality.
The location of the Hotel was excellent and had a very grand feeling to it.
A very short walk and you could be in the main square, with all the hustle and bustle of a major City Center.
Everything was great, we were on a eurotrip and this was the first hotel we stayed at. We liked it so much we made a reservation to stop by another time. The parking was great, there is enough room and after we parked for exploring the city we left it there as the location is so good.
The rooms were nice to relax after a long day. The SPA center was great, and would say that it had one of the best gyms (hotel wise).
The Hotel Central is conveniently located in the center of Zagreb right across the Main Train Station and the Art Pavillion, a short 10-minute walk to the Ban Jelacic square and the old historic town. The hotel is right next to the tramway stop which leads to the Main Bus Station, and a bus shuttle to the Airport. The breakfast was good and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Very happy with my stay.
The hotel locates in walking distance (15 min) from Zagreb Bus Terminal with airport bus stop and 25-30 min from the city center & has basic amentities. My room had good heating (AC), minibar & kettler. The place is quiet. The staff was helpful and provided available information. The breakfast was good. The nearest minimarket was Konzum in Bus Station building.
Excellent city hotel. Good location.
The room and bathroom are large and comfortable. The staff was very kind in check-in and answered our questions.
The city center is about a 20-minute walk away.
If you wish, you can use tram number 13 to the center, the stop is in front of the hotel.
There is free parking.
Good value for money.
I recommend this hotel.
Happy with our stay, it was up to a level you’d expect from a Hilton hotel. The room was comfortable, newly furnished and clean. We liked the breakfast selection as there was quite a large variety to choose from. They offer paid parking in a garage or a parking lot as well, which is convinient being so close to the city center.
We had a great time at Park 45! Great location; the staff at the Hotel was extremely friendly, day and night; the room very spacious, quiet, and clean; and a delicious breakfast to top it off. Would definitely stay here again, if we come back to Zagreb one day.
An excellent fit for those that like boutique hotels, as opposed to big hotels and hotel chains.
Great design and interior, the main city center is just a few minutes by foot away. Spacious and modern rooms with balconies overlooking the green garden
Very very spacious room with a BIG (shared) balcony in a brand new hotel. Comfortable bathroom and enough power plugs to recharge all your things at once. :) Tram stop in front of the hotel is very convenient to reach the city center.
this hotel is the most perfect ever!!! the best best location in the center near all attractions, the hotel itself is just an amazing place with the rooftop and the club and everything included! we had the best time ever ❤️ thank you
The location of the hotel was perfect, it was really close to the city center, which saved a lot of time for sightseeing. The breakfast options were also versatile. There was something for everyone. Overall, it was a fantastic stay.
Excellent centralized location right in the city center. Clean, quiet room. Good breakfast included. Be advised that the hotel is in the pedestrian zone and if you are arriving by cab you will not be dropped off at the front door.
The breakfast bar is amazing. We also ate dinner there two times and it was very good. This hotel is very close to the airport. It has a super cool vibe. You do have to Uber into town, but it was nice to stay out of the fray!
Good secure free parking. Comfortable beds, warm and good size bathroom. Good hotel for a short stay. 4 tram stops to the city center. Very close to shops and supermarkets in Kvaternik Square. Friendly staff.
The staff were just wonderful really made my stay. incredible big breakfast, really comfortable room and great location. make sure you get the hotel to arrange your transfer from Airport much cheaper
Hotel
is Fantastic, located in a quiet green area away from city noise. All rooms are large. Walking to city center takes about 15 min. Bus stop right opposite hotel . All staff were exceptional.
