“The apartment was located well for visiting the Old Town, with a beautiful view overlooking the city walls, harbor, and Lokrum Island. There were occasional thunderstorms while we were there, and it was amazing to sit on the covered balcony and watch waves of rain and lightning roll in from the sea, drinking cocktails with limes the host had provided from her own trees! “The location is relatively convenient with it being a five minute walk down 293 steps to the old city from the apartment. However, the return takes quite a bit longer since you have to walk up the 293 steps which is particularly challenging in the heat of summer. It's also very difficult when you first arrive since you must climb all the stairs with your luggage. The city bus drops you off at the cable car which is halfway up, so there aren't quite as many stairs. I would highly recommend taking a cab with your luggage to the road just above the apartment if you can afford it, especially if you are arriving during daylight hours in summer. The apartment is modern and comfortable with wonderful air conditioning. The kitchen is well-stocked. The woman who runs it is very friendly and helpful. She booked us an airport transfer at a discounted rate.” Read more

“We had the lower apartment located next to the owner's unit. It was very nice with a fully equipped kitchen. The furniture was clean/modern and the outdoor patio furniture was wonderful for relaxing and watching the sunset. We spent most of the time in Old Town Dubrovnik (fantastic). If you are in good shape the walk to Old Town and back is a breeze. We did not rely on Ubers/Taxis at all during our stay. The walk back from Dubrovnik to the apartment was up various sets of steep stairs - so I would not recommend for elderly unless they intend to use Ubers/taxis. We certainly got a workout everyday! The second night of our stay there was a festival complete with fireworks display. We had a wonderful view of the fireworks from the apartment.” Read more
