Filip i Jakov is well known for former summer residences and parks that belonged to Zadar noblemen. The one that is still famous nowadays is the Borelli family park. Thanks to the Borelli family, Sv. Filip i Jakov has a long tradition of tourism.
Žegar is a historical settlement in the mountainous Bukovica, above the Zrmanja river, not far from the Krupa monastery. The village itself lied above the Žegar field, from where the population had long "jumped into" (i.e. guerilla warfare) the Dinara, the Venetian-Ottoman border for centuries. Today, the historical region includes the villages of Kaštel Žegarski, Bogatnik, Komazeci, and Nadvoda, which are all administratively part of the Obrovac municipality. Škabrnja is a village in northern Dalmatia, located halfway between Zadar and Benkovac in the lowland region of Ravni Kotari. The oldest two buildings in the village are the two Catholic churches: the church of St. Mary in the hamlet of Ambar, and the church of St. Luke at the village cemetery. The church of St. Mary dates from the 11th century and is built from stone, forming a hexagonal shape, one of several such old Croatian churches from northern Dalmatian towns and villages. The church of St. Luke was built in the 13th century, with a Gothic dome dated 1440. It has a single nave which ends in an apsis, as well as a bell tower which was also built later.
